when your ancestors became an American, did they forget your culture

if I remember correctly, we came here with a convert or kill attitude - should we hold all Christians accountable for that and punish them?

religious fanatics are often a problem, the big ones right now are Muslims and Christians...

I just noticed that when I’m not logged on that the thread has attracted Pixie who I blocked from the first thread. I don’t do low information from the indoctrinated. Not only is it a waste of time, it gives me a headache.

There are unfortunately people who are so far into their beliefs that the world has become a sort of Alice in Wonderland for them and they’re away with the fairies.

Merkel, the former chancellor of Germany and the one that opened the doors to mass-immigration knew years ago that multiculturalism has failed and publicly said so.

"Of course the tendency had been to say, 'Let's adopt the multicultural concept and live happily side by side, and be happy to be living with each other.' But this concept has failed, and failed utterly." -- Potsdam, 2010, The Washington Post, December 14, 2015.

Merkel is the ex-communist who spent half her life messing up East Germany and then when Germany was re-united, carried on with her bizarre ideas there.

Similarly in Sweden, where a UN report says that if it carries on with its multicultural experiment it will be a third world type country within about 15 years. A ‘humanitarian superpower’ my backside!

When you get these sort of facts, when Lerma from Pravda, various dissidents and even Putin himself, a former KGB official, says don’t go down the same road we did, and you look at the mess Europe is in now, you have to shake your head at the indoctrinated. Best to stay clear of the believers of ice caps melting, deadly plagues that are going to wipe out humanity and the multicultural utopia builders. :)

Empires fall because they bite off more than they can chew. America has not made that mistake. I wouldn't call five territories an 'Empire'.

America is in decline because of neoliberalism, not multiculturalism. You have your eye on the wrong ball.

We can trace the tipping scale of her decline with Reagan, under whose tutelage was the acceleration of neoliberalism. No president, to date, has reversed the neoliberal course set into motion by Reagan because the Republicans in the senate won't allow it. And the only time a democrat had a supermajority was Obama, and he had it only for 2 months, just enough time to get the Affordable Care Act passed, and nothing else, which was only a modest reversal, but not a strong enough reversal to thwart neoliberalism's detrimental effects on the nation.

Multiculturalism was dominant during her ascendant years, during her changing from an agricultural society to an industrial one, this occurred during the great immigrations from 1880 and 1920, and no, they weren't all Europeans. Asians came in large numbers, too During the war years we had massive immigrations of Filipinos ( because of our military base in Manila, needing workers and military personel, they came to America in exchange for joining the military and doing many of the jobs Americans didn't want to do so much and with them came their families, this continued up until the 1980s). Moreover, At the incipient stages of America, we had Mexicans, Native Americans, Blacks (through slavery) and Chinese coming to America, and all of these groups contributed to her rise.

Your little essay is tall on vacuous claims and right wing platitudes but short on substantiation. A solid example of novice or weak debate skills.

Blaming America's decline on multiculturalism is solid case of 'correlation is not causation'. America's labor shortage currently is due to the strict immigration policies of Trump, which Biden is attempting to reverse by decree, but he can't as long as there is a Senate with the filibuster.

Here’s something to catch up with and make you stop and think. Don't blame me, they're Americans. Recommended viewing for anyone caught up in the Gung Ho narrative.

The collapse of the American empire?

Where did I say that? I'm not even talking specifically about race, just cultures or ways of life that differ from what we're accustomed to. Different styles of dress or hair or makeup, different music, different ways of looking at the world in general.

I live in a diverse neighborhood, not a black one or a white one or an Hispanic one or an Asian one. It's a military town, two large Air Force bases, a huge Army base, and a population that includes a lot of Americans from other states, settling here when they muster out. From 1992 to 2002, I lived on the lower east side of Manhattan, surrounded by whites, blacks, Greeks, Ukrainians, Puerto Ricans, and a variety of Asians. It's not for everyone, but I loved walking down the street and hearing four or five different languages spoken.

Try not to interpret, just work on reading comprehension. It's actually quite rude to make such assumptions.

That would make him like 90% of the world.

Of course you might not mind narrow mindedness and bigotry among other non white people.

I read your post just fine. I'll quote from it.

You said neighborhood not city. Anything other than white is enriching. I get it. All white suburbs are uncool and non enriching.

And by the way real white of you to mingle with those Greeks.

Or you can look at a country like China which is not at all diverse and is poised to take over the world.

Nobody said that you should change your views. Historically, people that hold those types of opinions aren't interested in considering a wider perspective and facts that refute the position. That's fine.

However, your OP does scream bigotry in neon, blinking colors. Again, you can hold that view. You have that right, but it's not fair or realistic for those of us that don't share those views to simply accept it as some kind of edict to join your bandwagon.

I don’t expect anyone to change their views. I give the facts and those who prefer beliefs are quite entitled to have them. Multiculturalism and open borders don’t work. The shrieks of bigot or Nazi or whatever is the backlash. I’m quite happy for someone to point me to a country in Europe that has had open borders and its succeeded, but of course beliefs can’t provide that.

Do you believe that <whatever culture(s) you are blaming for all the USA's problems> would still be here if they weren't providing something positive to our society?

Further, unless you are Native American, your ancestors were also immigrants. Are you suggesting that we abandon ship and give them back their land? I don't know very many Native Americans personally but I can't imagine them having a problem keeping our "diversity" out of their country.

That's what the Africans and native Americans said just before you massacred them in their own lands.

China can do that because they have historically always been isolationists. Europeans have always been expansionists so it cannot practically go back to something it's never been.

Europeans create the migration through their warmongering. This is to enable mass labour thus keeping wages low in order to establish a supremely wealthy elite. Hence bezos et al

The white people talking most about diversity are Democrats. No one else would know what diversity is if Leftists didn't talk about it CONSTANTLY.

Not me. a) I wasn't born then and b) I'm not American. Just as an aside, did you know the native Americans were originally what are now the the Mongolians that came over the Bearing straights and down into the US after the ice age?

Not literally you but your forefathers, your nation. The Africans didn't want diversity when your nations landed on the coast but you forced it on them, did you know that?

Yes iknow about bearing straits episode.

The op was about European multiculturalism, not the US. So what are third world immigrants bringing to Europe that is so enriching society? Did you watch the op videos, or simply presenting your personal beliefs?

Only in the west do you hear people saying things like "diversity makes us stronger" a blatantly racist statement.

Only in white western countries is this valued. You will never hear people in Japan demanding they become less Japanese so they can be stronger. It would be beyond absurd and any politician demanding that would not have a long career.

I didn't watch all of the videos, but I watched some of each to get a gist of what they are saying.

I didn't see 'multiculturalism' is the basis for their arguments.

On the Collapse video, he seems to be saying that corporate capitalism is one of the big culprits, and since that is an outcome of neoliberalism, I agree.

On the second video, he's arguing against the concept of american exceptionalism, the IMperial America ( as evidenced by their 700 military bases), I agree with him completely, we should shrinking the military budget, pull out a majority of those bases, cut the military in half. and can the 'American exceptionalism' rhetoric.

However, not seeing the multiculturalism is evil argument on either one of these videos. If they are making it, specify the timestamp of where they are mentioning it, in the video.
