I read all of the excuses Left Wingers give to effectively take guns out of the hands of the average law abiding citizen. They cry "but we don't want to take your guns." But in fact that is exactly what many if not most want, to eliminate firearms in the hands of civilians. Even though it will never reduce guns in the hands of criminals, or crazies, they still want all guns registered first, then eventually picked up and destroyed. It is best said what they want in the Daily Kos, one of the Left Wing fanatic blogs, "Fri Dec 21, 2012 at 03:20 AM PST
How to Ban Guns: A step by step, long term process."http://www.dailykos.com/story/2012/12/21/1172661/-How-to-Ban-Guns-A-step-by-step-long-term-process#

I don't think liberals hate guns. I think liberal hate murder. The right hold their guns, because they are afraid that they cannot effectively change the world for the better, and that they have to defend what they have. Liberals think that the world could be made better if people were blowing each other away.

There is a difference between Liberals and Left Wingers. Liberals and progressives want to ensure all people in our society are fairly treated and taken care of. Left wingers are fanatics at the opposite end of the spectrum from Right wingers.

It is a misnomer to say all liberals want to ban guns because there are a lot of liberal gun owners but what is apparent is that the anti-gun culture seems to be one of the liberal democrat litmus tests. There are a lot of liberals unhappy with this and wish it would be taken off the democrat "agenda".

Many of us old time Kennedy Democrats are having a hard time staying with the party. It is not we who have veered, it is the left wing control of our party which left us.

I'm a "liberal" gun owner, rifle and handgun. I'd like to see the Democrats ditch gun control from their platform.

Well at least the article proves the slippery slope,is a dream of the left as it's very often ridiculed and denied. Interesting to note that even on the Kos 91% of respondents in the poll told the author of that article to drop dead. That's heartening.

Some on the left don't hate guns, but merely question any confidence in the sincerity of gun lovers who refuse to love their republic as much as they claim to love their guns.

Our Second Amendment is quite clear as to which Body politic has literal recourse.

While it's true not all conservatives are stupid, almost all stupid people are conservatives. I do not like stupid people with guns, which, as conservative like to point out, it's not the guns that are the problem, it's the stupid people, with the guns. Smart, reasonable, rational people don't have a need for boasting about their guns in the first place, they are not afraid of everything, and they use a gun as a last resort, not a first response. Smart people know that a loaded gun poses a constant hazard around their lives that they try to keep as limited as possible. People who claim to be "law abiding citizens" tend to be idiots trying to find justification for waving their guns around and acting like children playing out fantasies in their minds. People of that nature are not fit to own or use guns.

I have to sheepishly admit I've never understood a dang word that guy wrote. I just took him off block today after a year and it's like a time warp. Same freakin sentences I saw a year ago and still rants and riddles.
I work overtime sometimes trying to understand some posters but this one I just can't get.

Indeed, if guns make a society safer, why isn't the USA the most safe society in the Western world?

we have the highest per capita gun ownership in The West, and yet the highest murder rate of all first world nations.

    how's that work?

Actually, the US murder rate is at a 30 year low, while the United Kingdom (where I am from) is barely at a 10 year low. And Australia's murder rate is barely at a 3 year low.

Culture. You cannot make an apples to apples comparison. It tells you nothing.

Of course the BS here is that "kids" injured by firearms includes the "kids" in gangs.

Recognize too that the arrogant who spread the BS with insults are the least informed of all our members. I have never seen anyone in my 78 years who, "(are) waving their guns around and acting like children playing out fantasies in their minds. People of that nature are not fit to own or use guns." People who make statements like that know nothing about law abiding people who either own or don't own a gun, they just like to hear themselves squawk.

Having spent 27 years in the Military to stop violence within our borders, I have to agree with you completely.

So you spend 27 years in the military violating the Posse Comitatus Act?

LOL, I guess you never watch YouTube? They openly post their own "near misses" on there all the time, but just remember, for every one of them that wasn't fatal, there are a lot more not videoed and are fatal! Just because you choose to watch FOX News all day and don't leave your freakin' house is no excuse for ignoring reality and making up your own version of it! I've personally seen a lot more crap than this IN PERSON! So where are you when all this is going on?

As for those oh so nice "Law Abiding Citizens", they like to terrorize mothers of kids who were victims of gun violence! Yeah, real awesome people there! Is that what you call mature behavior? Would that make you feel safer? THIS is what GUN lovers are really about, so get out of your hole and learn something old man!

I don't know if someone named Sporks from a blog with little traffic is too important to worry about. You still have five justices on the Supreme Court who have recognized that the Second Amendment affirms the right own guns for self-defense in your home. They even ruled that it is incorporated by the Due Process Clause in the Fourteenth Amendment. Unless they overturn their own decision, or the Second Amendment is repealed, I don't think you have to worry in the short-term.
