If you can't trust the digital timer on a washing machine, who can you trust?

Why aren't more people outraged? Is it just me?

They are used to lying about the number of socks fed to them I.e. I swear I put in four and now there is only three - what did you do with my other sock”?

    Innocent look in return

I wash my clothes in a plastic tub. Are you calling me a liar since I'm the agitator and wringer in the system?

I always thought it was bathroom scales, which were the usual suspects, when it came to electronic, domestic lies. Personally, though, I recommend a healthy distrust of clock alarms: mine always seems to choose the days when I am the most tired, to decide not to work.

Your clock is simply giving you the rest that you obviously needed. Bravo I say!

Are you sure it's your washing machine? Back in the day I was suspicious of the dryer. You'd wash your clothes, clean, yet the lint screen would fill up. With what I ask? The washing machine just removed the most minute dirt, even just stains, but leaves behind lint? Where does it come from except maybe a disintegrating sock.
I can also attest that since I only line dry lost socks are a thing of the past.

Furthermore, it's not like you check your socks as they come from the washer do you?
    THE DRYER! Fear it!!!

Don’t go there with clothes pegs. Mine have migration routes - you only ever have them in the laundry so why and how do they turn up in the bathroom?

More importantly where do clothes hangers come from? We all have several but have never bought any. Yet at the same time, how many bottle openers have you bought? Just your basic church key not the fancy 28 in one thing. My theory is that church keys are the larval stage of wire coat hangers and if you leave one out or the drawer open you have one less can opener and one more wire hangar.

    Plastic containers

You either have a ton of bases or a ton of lids which contrary to logic DO NOT FIT ANY OF THE BASES IN YOUR CUPBOARD! My theory is that the bases are the adults and the lids are the immature offspring which is why when you find two bases stuck together…………

    LOLS!

And why are we soo sure its the dryer that is stealing socks? It seems to me the same kind of amoral appliance behavior is behind both the lies and thievery.

And then there is the “Spaghetti Fairy”. See in the days when the land was forested it was the role of this wee shy woodland creature to tangle the undergrowth to provide shelter for the smaller animals but since most of the natural woodland has been cleared these creatures are disposed and now find homes in cable drawers, knitting baskets and of course ICU!!! :p

What creature is it that spends sufficient time to use up all the ink in every pen I put anywhere conspicuous and then disposes of the post-it notes I buy by the truckload? If I have twenty pens, none of them work and the same animal breaks the lead off all the pencils nearby.

"I put instant coffee in a microwave and went back in time. I was driving at the speed of light and put on my high beams and nothing happened. Why is the alphabet in that order? Is it because of that song?"
