Thanks, Grau, for setting the guy straight!
In the meantime I have looked around for some good old-fashioned truth about this whole business of war on terror. My conclusion: The Israelis are the only ones interested in destroying the Middle East, so they can spread themselves out and rule the world!

The Americans' role is to do the dirty work and pay for the cost. Of course, they also get to help themselves to some of the loot, like Saddam's oil for instance. That's why there are so many contractors, all want to help doing all sorts of things.
    And get this...

Grau? Do you have any comment on the issues? Or just personal attacks? (just checking)

What's embarrassing about recognizing that throwing soldiers' lives, decades and trillions of dollars into a bottomless pit is pointless? That's Business Management 101.

The only things I have commented on are the issues related to this thread about America's Afghan dilemma.

It was your decision to "go low" by accusing me of deliberately lying and being unable to distinguish the difference between a question and a statement.

In this thread I have tried to make it clear that a re-invasion of Afghanistan could only result in a bloody and catastrophic folly while writing off the abandoned Americans is also entirely unacceptable.

I have also commented generally on possible solutions to obtaining the release the abandoned Americans with as little bloodshed as possible.

To answer your most recent questions, I wouldn't have lasted almost 6 years at this forum if I were only capable of composing personal attacks.

What is the deal with the money? Was it his money that he took from the bank or was he embezzling funds while president or was it money we gave them (or however that part works in war time) or is there some other explanation for this?

If the answer is anything other than it was his own money, does this mean that the Afghani people are short changed in some way? Like if the money was for their military or schools or government employees? I also wonder if he can be forced to return to stand trial if that money belonged to the people. It's all a giant mess.

    Hello Jazz,

I don't think that all Israelis agree on anything but I do think that Israel's Right Wing extremist element envisions a "Greater Israel" in which they exercise Regional Hegemony and could eliminate the rest of Palestine's original residents, the Palestinians, with impunity.
It has also been a long held Zionist ambition to control the Litani River basin but you're right in that Israel's powerful and influential lobbies control US Foreign Policy and dictate who and when the US fights in the region.

Iran, for example has repeatedly reached out to the US (1) for improved relations but Israel's lobbies won't allow the US to reach back.

The Iraq War, too, was fought for Israel's benefit because of the "quiet" pressure of AIPAC and similar groups:

“QUIETLY LOBBYING CONGRESS TO APPROVE THE USE OF FORCE IN IRAQ WAS ONE OF AIPAC’S SUCCESSES OVER THE PAST YEAR.”
AIPAC Executive Director Howard Kohr; N.Y. Sun, Jan. 2003

So, I don't think that Israel wants to either destroy the Middle East or rule the world as long as they can continue using the US to help them maintain regional hegemony and keep getting Americans to die for Israel(2) in what is essentially an Israeli orchestrated American war on Islam.

Regrettably, too many Americans have been deceived into believing that Israel's Right Wing is some sort of ally when Netanyahu, himself, evaluated the true nature of the US - Israeli alliance:

“Once we squeeze all we can out of the United States, it can dry up and blow away.” — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, 2002. (3)
