Why do you believe in God ?

It may be a debate forum, but the OP was an open and honest question about the views of others. You cannot tolerate those views and you seethe with hate when you hear them. I am not surprised at all. You have your little covey of godless haters to back you up (Derideo etc) You all just live to deny the Gospel as revealed by Jesus Christ. It is not my job to convince you of anything, but I will never be silent about what I, know in my heart to be true. So I will leave you to your gnashing of teeth and go my merry way not remaining silent when asked about the Hope that resides within me.
The question.....:why do you believe in God" has nothing to do with you, so why do you even meddle in with those that sincerely respond? It is because of the hate you harbor for those of faith.

 

If you make an assertion, on a political debate forum, you need to prove that assertion if challenged.

We both of course know why you pretend like you don’t have to.

 

The failure to substantiate stems from the inability to do so.

 

You run into trouble when you present your beliefs as fact. When you d9 that, you will be challenged. If you run away from that challenge, it’s because you can’t support your claims.

 

I merely state what I believe to be true. That is in answer to the original post. You my friend are off topic. If you wish to attack the faith of others....do it on another thread.

 

Typical God hater. You do understand the original post was to ask" how do you arrive at your belief in God". You, being a God hater, have no business here. However it is like a moth to the flame for you. You can't resist the opportunity to express your hate for those of Faith. Jesus, of course, does not hate Africans. Apparently you see a challenge and instead of doing something about it, you point the finger of blame at others, in this case God. You were created to be the hands of God yet you remain useless.

No, this cowboy has not made an attempt to prove his beliefs. I merely stated them. First go back and read the O.P. Then to substantiate what you said in your earlier post, state exactly who I have persecuted. You cannot, and that is what makes your comment foolish. It is kind of cowardly for you to post on a thread that merely asks "why do you believe in God"? That is a fair question, and by answering it I guess we open ourselves up for attacks from the Godless who scan these threads without stating what they do believe in. If you believe in "chance", then state so. You never state what you believe, you just imply that others believe in fairy tales......very cowardly. I would like to hear exactly what you believe our purpose is here on earth and how we originated. I'll take a shot at that!

Then you go on to attack any that don't believe as you do and then proceed to attack others by calling them names.

You don't in fact know the answers to any of the questions that you demand answers to, without any evidence to support your beliefs. Myths, in point of fact.

Renee....get a grip. This particular thread is about "why we believe in God. Many Christians share their belief with each other because it is edifying. You got on this thread to dispute it and mock. If you really believed in Zeus, I would honestly ask you, what has he done for you?....but you don't/ You just flail about sarcasm and Zeus is your vehicle. Why don't you start a threaf that is the anti-thesis of this one? The title to that would be...."Why do you believe in chance?"" Or something similiar that describes your belief system. How 'bout "why do you believe in yourself as an island?" You come up with the title that suits you, but be honest. I am honest when I say I won't be visiting that thread. It doesn;t interest me. I don't need to try and burn your house down to make mine look better!

 

I don't (actually can't) believe in god since there is no credible or compelling evidence that it exists.

I don't believe in the tooth fairy or Easter bunny either, for similar reasons...

You are here to attack my beliefs as if your beliefs are proven facts. When someone asks you,"why do you believe in God?"..... They are asking for your belief. For some reason you find that as something you have to refute. That is why you follow this thread. My beliefs are seen as a threat by you. That is precisely why you are here.

Yes, and you have a following that does it as well. Your belief, I may assume, is that we are humans here by "chance" without a purpose. You cannot offer proof of that. It is your belief. Though I do not need to refute your belief, I find it to be utter nonsense. When those beliefs are in power, I find them to be quite DANGEROUS!
