A friend told me he never reads/watches the news and he is perfectly happy. I like to know what's going on in the world and discuss it but it really negatively affects my mood and it makes very little difference to my everyday life whether I get the news or not. It is somewhat addictive and some of the stories are stranger than fiction but most of it is unnecessary.

I watch local new, but I usually go here and go to links for whatever news interests me. I guess my news feed is random.

    Same with me pretty much.

I'll scan the front page of Fox for any breaking news but usually come here and follow links.

If I stay on news sites too long I always end up reading stupid animal stories or looking up celebrity net worths.

I have a stressful job. Experts say it results in the same stress level as being an air traffic controller.

So I like to go home and laugh. Nothing is funnier than the loons on MSNBC. To see educated adults make foolish and outlandish statements makes me feel better: I know life is tough, but at least I'm smarter than those talking heads.

Information is good. I get my news daily from about 9 different sources. Some liberal and some conservative. I had rather watch a conservative commentator than a liberal commentator. Today I watched Trump's news conference after the Kim summit. Trump was in a good mood and took a lot of questions. Later I watched NBC report on the conference and they picked it apart and were quick to tell us what wasn't achieved. They called the agreement "vague". I thought it was a very left leaning, critical report on a historic meeting. Trump should have borrowed Hillary's re-set button and then maybe the MSM might have praised him.
