In the same way penguins consent to being straight, yes.
It's an analogy.
That still is a basis on superstition. Granted I have mine as well, as I am Christian. I'm just not one who believes that God has told me to force my beliefs on others via law. And no that is not a claim that you do.
You keep repeating this falsehood, but you never did. No law ever proposed gave same sex couples all the same rights and privileges as enjoyed by opposite sex couples under the legal institution of marriage. Not one.
Marriage has no one origin. It has been religious, social, business, legal, and a wide variety of things across history and culture. And each version exists separate and apart from each other. A religious marriage is not required to be recognized by any other religion or even a different denomination of the same religion or by any civil authority or even a given society. Likewise, nothing requires a religion to recognize a marriage from any government or other religion. The word marriage applies to a wide variety of institutions.
Just to remain consistent, marriage is any of these things and very frequently multiple incidences of these things. And to be technical, it is a civil institution. The document is just that, for documentation of the institution being applied to a couple.
He said it was a choice. Read again.
Marriage is also still a religious institution, as well as a social institution. The word does not apply to only one aspect.
Dude, pagan is religious. Pagan is a catchall word for any religion that is not Jewish, Christian or Muslim.
Pedophilia has never been criminalized. Pedophilia is a psychological condition and exists whether or not a child has been harmed. Please show me one law in the US that makes pedophilia a crime.
Given the number that can't get past the idea that homosexuality affects only men, and completely ignore the fact that there are women homosexuals, they actually don't know the first thing about homosexuality.
Again goal post move. All that was noted was that no religious precept should be used as the basis of civil law. As far as the bakers and such go, personally I have always held the position that private business have a right to discriminate under private property rights and freedom of association, and such rights are currently as violated by equal rights laws today as they were by Jim Crow laws before. But that is a whole other thread.
Of course, that hole works for any male.
Perhaps I should have mentioned that I am of the old garde and my observations took place at a time when homo- and other sexuals were still hiding.
It is very upsetting to hear about the catholic priests and their child victims... the aboriginal children, how they suffered! It is so disgusting it makes me angry and wanting revenge!
Overall, mankind hasn't advanced morally very much, just a few bright lights dotted here and there. In general it looks more like we are approaching the peak of moral decay. Especially, the rot is manifested in the powerful and privileged classes.
Well duh! That line right there is a prime example of circular reasoning. It also does not address whether or not the behavior is natural or not.
Dude I already provided you these types of example showing that murder happens in nature as well. Are you actually coming around on that now?
You are falsely conflating things, especially when it comes to humans. Homosexuality is the sexual attraction to another person of the same sex. Homosexuality does not mean automatically being repulsed by the act or idea of sex with another person of the opposite sex. Thus, humans being one of the few creatures who can choose to act against their natural inclinations, homosexual humans can choose to engage in sex with people of the opposite sex for the purpose of procreation and indeed many homosexuals who wish children do. The most common is a homosexual man and a homosexual woman choosing to have children together. They will either create two and raise one each, or hold joint custody and co-parent. Parenting doesn't care what your sexuality is, and frankly neither does procreation.
What does that last part have to do with your claim that because something "is the VASTLY GREATER observation" it must be the natural things and the lesser observed is not natural?
Not necessarily. Some people don't acknowledge the existence of other churches or religions. Either that or they claim that any church that doesn't believe what they do must not be a real church, thus "the Church" still has banned SSM
It can be taught about, but attraction cannot be taught, whether it is homosexual, or heterosexual. Behavior can be taught also, but behavior is not attraction, and homosexuality and heterosexuality are both attractions, not behaviors.
Good luck banning conservatives.
Mainly because no one is persecuting them anymore.
How 'bout necrophela? "scuse that away. It doesn't hurt anybody.
Well, maybe you've tried them. They don't hurt anyone so I guess that's possible. It fits right in with your logic.
Well you must admit they help. It's a dirty job but I guess someone has to do it!
I'm not interested in attempts to legitimize it.
That is your logic not mine.
It fits your strawman.
That's a new low for you.
A tactic used by anti-gay propagandists.
Present homosexuality in the worst possible way by attempting to connect it to something that is repulsive to everyone, pedophilia, bestiality, incest, necrophilia.
Separate names with a comma.
