You should read up on former AGs like John Mitchell, Eliot Richardson and Richard Kliendienst. You are among the basket full of imbeciles who do not understand what the AGs role in our government is. Presidents can not just snap their fingers and tell everyone what to do. Nixon was forced to resign for obstruction in pulling this same kind of crap. You are the Buffoon champ.

You're going to need another 26 cards to get a full deck. The President has the highest security clearance and can see whatever he wishes. Seriously........where do you get your notions? LMAO

See post 52. You are in denial, and that ain't a river in Egypt. Maybe it was YOUR AG that didn't understand his role.

    I'm the President's wingman

I never had an AG, but Nixon had two or three who tried to squelch an independent council investigation. One went to prison, one resigned after firing those who were investigating his campaign and administration and another resigned rather than fire the investigators. Your understanding of US law is at about a 2nd grade level. Barr should simply turn over the findings of the investigation to the US Congress and let them decide what action, if any should be taken. That’s how it works.

Uh no. Barr is in charge of the Special Counsel. He'll turn over whatever he wishes to Congress, complete with redactions. You've apparently forgotten how Holder and Lynch ran their office. Elections have consequences. Where was that coined? And I might be at 2nd grade level, but I'm looking in my rear view mirror at you kindergartener.

Maybe he's going to announce Mueller will be staying on to investigate the FBI and her illegal eMail server.

Don’t worry champ. The report will all come out sooner than later and Mueller will testify under oath in Senate and House hearings along with members of his team. Barr’s little shell game is just another distraction whichwill be exposed.

True. Which is really kind of laughable. Sort of puts everyone on notice just how much of a toothless tiger Congress really is in investigations. Used to make me mad, now it makes me smile.

Oh and one more thing. Careful what you wish for. There are Republicans on the house judiciary committee. There's going to be a heap of questions for Mueller regarding his little game, including basis for probable cause warrants and investigations. This could be fun!

You know how embarrassing it'll be to see a report full of: "agent Strzok', "agent Page", "Director Comey", "deputy McCabe" SAID? That's the short list of Mueller's corrupt sources. :roflol:

No, in the long term it won’t work.

It reminds me of how the Nixon White House tried to pawn off a redacted transcripts of the tapes. (Thus, the phrase “expletive deleted” entered the language!).

    That didn’t work either.

Of course he is gonna have a press conference. It’s called being transparent and answering questions. This isn’t a AG and President hiding behind executive privledge and being held in contempt like Holder and Obama

:sleepy: https://thehill.com/homenews/media/439291-rosenstein-on-barr-in-time-100-the-rule-of-law-is-secure Pelosi and the rest of the (D) "Transparancy Police" are demanding that Barr & Rosenstein cancel this morning's press meeting. Considering that Schiff's opinion is that Americans are to stupid to understand reports like this, I can't understand why (D)'s demand less clarity than Barr & Rosenstein are willing to provide. (D)'s have had 2 weeks since the NYT claimed "team Mueller" didn't agree with Barr's summary, to call on Bob Mueller himself. But who needs Mueller Time! when your already drunk on NYT Koolaid? :alcoholic: :roflol:

The Democrat-MSM media complex has been waging an anti-campaign against Barr.

There is no reason in the hell that Barr should not hold a press conference to clear the bases.

I welcome any open hearings and questions from members of Congress no matter which side of the political spectrum they come from. Many people have repeatedly trashed Mueller and his team. It would be nice to see Mueller get a chance to respond directly.

Mueller has been stingy with public statements. So far he has only spoken once, to say that a nutty Buzzfeed article was untrue.

Was that Sister Sarah dressed up as Barr? Cuz that farce had the distinct sound of the prez's spokesperson, not the AG who is supposed to be impartial.

$40M temper tantrum, part two will begin soon so that Ayatollah Nadler and his sidekick, foreign agent Ezra Firedlander, can get rid of Trump to relax sanctions on Iran. Their client, Qatar, shares a gas field with the Mullahs and sanctions are inconvenient. In terms of the Mueller report, there is nothing in the law that requires release. We know you creamed all over your keyboard with every whisper that the angry Democrat prosecutors were closing in. I thought I gave you fair warning to stay away from sharp objects.

The redacted report will be made public and a handful of Congressmen will see the unredacted version. In terms of Barr's objectivity, my guess is that he is more objective than the AG who described himself thusly:
Eric Holder: 'I'm still the president's wingman'
    https://www.politico.com/blogs/politico44/2013/04/eric-holder-im-still-the-presidents-wingman-160861

We know that Nadler won't let this go until the Mullah's get the sanction relief he wants them to have. That only means that he's a treasonous POS. It says nothing about Trump. You might have noticed that Barr mentioned "illegal leaks" that frustrated Trump. Wondering whether Schiff is on the radar screen for violations of the espionage act. I certainly hope so.

In his news conference today, during his opening statement, Barr confirmed that the White House was given a redacted version of the Mueller report — a luxury not afforded to Congress, the public, or the reporters in the room who were granted the privilege of asking questions about a report they had not seen.

Barr also explained away questions about possible obstruction of justice by saying Trump “faced an unprecedented situation. As he entered office and sought to perform his responsibilities, prosecutors were scrutinizing his conduct ... yet, as he said from the beginning, there was no collusion.”

Paula Reid of CBS asked Barr to respond to critics who have interpreted his conduct as being aimed at protecting Trump, not dealing in good faith with the American people.

“A Republican-appointed judge on Tuesday said you have, quote, created an environment that has caused a significant part of the American public to be concerned about these redactions. You cleared the president on obstruction,” Reid began. “The president is fundraising off your comments about ‘spying,’ and here you have remarks that are quite generous to the president, including acknowledging his feelings and emotions. What do you say to people on both sides of the aisle who are concerned you’re trying to protect the president?”

Barr didn’t respond to Reid’s question. Instead he questioned the basis of the question without being specific.

The final question got to the heart of the problem.

“Do you think it creates an appearance of impropriety for you to come out and sort of, what appears to be spinning the report before the public gets a chance to read it?” Ryan Reilly of HuffPost asked, referring to the decision the Trump administration made to hold a news conference about the Mueller report before it was even released to Congress for review.

“No,” Barr replied curtly. He then walked away, ending the news conference.
