Why is it impossible to find the Buffalo shooter's manifesto?

You need to learn how to communicate. You said nothing about the media when you said that the manifesto is "probably accurate." Simple!

Because if you want the media to be trustworthy, you must first be trustworthy.

IOW, there is know way to suppress the knowledge of how to make guns or explosive devices from anyone inclined to know how to do it.

 

And…? Why does that matter? Nobody is making that argument that limiting the flow of knowledge won’t stop people from figuring it out. What it is saying is you can stop a lot more of them if the knowledge is limited. Change tactics and such.

Saying that the "serial killers manifesto is probably accurate", is VERY different from saying that the media probably accurately portrayed the manifesto.

The basic technology required to make firearms and other powerful weapons is now fully dispersed common knowledge -- old tech. Not even your Big Brother can suppress it.

10 year olds have been employed to manufacture sub-machine guns and other military weapons whenever the price of the name brands gets too high.

Countless videos showing the step by step process for home manufacture with tools and materials available at any hardware store or Ebay of far more lethal weapons than can be purchased in a gun store

Read more than one source for one. Then compare. Are they more or less saying the same thing? Then check the reliability of your sources for biases. Where are they getting info from? Stuff like that.

 

So if people have access to the knowledge, then they will use it. Which is what we’re both saying. So we can ban the knowledge and make it harder to find. Then things will go down too. By logic.

No. If one source sees that another source says that the manifesto espouses Replacement Theory, and then that source repeats that in their reporting, that's doesn't need to be cited.

 

That would be like trying to ban knowledge of how to scramble eggs.

The 1st amendment is as important as the 2nd.

 

Look I work with kids and the number of them who probably can’t even do that should tell you something with your argument. If they don’t know how to scramble eggs, they will have cereal or toast for breakfast.

 

Virtually all adults can figure out how to scramble eggs. Ditto explosives and guns.

They figured out how to make guns over a thousand years ago using bamboo tubes. So, first ban plumbing supplies -- and bamboo.
