But not too dangerous to wait in line for the John Lewis procession?

It’s not dangerous to wait in line. The line only needs to be longer to account for social distancing. It’s a ducking joke with Democrats. Yet they don’t mind if people crowd together to “protest” though. Hypocrites.

Or take the bus or train. Not much social distancing there.

It's sort of like asking why the only people that the radicals among the political Left worship as saints happen to be inveterate nation-haters or race-agitators or murderous thugs who hold gun barrels against the bellies of pregnant women during home invasions.

True. How are those people eating? Food magically being delivered? Or can everyone walk to get their food? Doubt it. If you can afford to have food delivered you can afford a taxi. Mask up. Open the windows. You’re good. And if you use a bus for food you can use a bus to vote.

For the most of the country that can drive, that’s not an issue.

Sad when Trump fans see their only way forward to win in November is to make as few people vote as they can get away with.

No one is forcing anyone to stay home. The right seems to say everything is "fine" while the leftist in media have been spreading the scare of the covid.

Life is very extremely dangerous. You could be driving down the road and a building blows up with hundreds dead and thousands injured and get you, too. You could be trying to drive through an intersection to earn your pay and a guy raises a long gun at you and you have blow his shat away. You could be standing in line and a novel coronavirus singles you out for an attack. Very extremely dangerous.

It’s interesting that liquor stores stayed open as essential services and people don’t fear standing in line for booze.

The only reason in person voting is an issue is that it is believed that mail in voting will increase the US Democratic vote.

    Simple as that.

For somebody with diabetes, respiratory problems... or any other high-risk conditions, it's just as dangerous to do either. Even with masks. They should skip John Lewis' procession. They should not skip voting.

Opposition to mail in voting is a ridiculous position that the Trump campaign has decided to take, because the people who most often vote by mail, and are most likely to do so on these elections are the demographics that Trump would need to win the elections. They are clearly shooting themselves in the foot. The only explanation for this I can think of is that the Trump campaign has already discarded any possibility of winning these elections based solely on the will of the voters, and are seeking a different approach. Which would have to be one that involves cheating.

Historically it has been easier to vote by mail and this increases the Dem vote. It’s also been shown that bad weather decreases Dem voter turnout.

Whenever I go out to Kroger, CVS, PetSmart, Tractor Supply, Dollar General, the bank and else where, I see people waiting in line. Abet 6 feet a part, but still waiting in line. It seems people are waiting in line to do their everyday chores or job. Why would voting be any different? I haven't the faintest idea.

There's a county of 600,000 people in Kentucky who have ONE polling place. I think once the line gets to be 20,000 (or so) people deep, I'd turn around and go home. In fact, if it got to 300, I'd probably turn around.

    Talk about disenfranchising voters.

Because Dems see voting by mail as favoring them. It’s not that they are evil as Republicans would be fighting for voting by mail too if they thought it would help them.

A voter who turns around because it’s a pain is not disenfranchised.

I’ve never once had to wait more than 15 minutes to vote.

Were you competing with 600,000 people for the chance? That's 833 people a minute. Do you envision that being possible?

It’s a question of what time you go in. That number sounds awfully high though but it’s still not disenfranchisement.

Most polling places have approximately 1,000 voters.

You're delusional if you think 600,000 people can vote in 12 hours, in a single polling place. You need a throughput of 833 people/minute to achieve that.

Perhaps KY shouldn't have taken out all the polling places.
