The American Marxist has worked for over a century to bring us incremental Communism. Now they are in their last effort.

It's a common tactic for the left to laugh off something as never going to happen, and then it does.

Don't forget 'Bob' lives in a different United States to that occupied by most Americans. From his fortified bunker (basement) he can see all the Marxists and commos wandering the streets, just biding their time before they 'take over'. Just like the MIB he's you best, your last, your only line of defense against communism - just ask him. (Not aliens though, presumably someone else is in charge of that, unless the aliens are also communist, in which case he's your man.)

Oh, and by way of clarification in 'Bob world' a communist is defined as anyone who is to the left of Bob, so he has his work cut out.

We will have a choice as capitalism crashes. We can either transition to fascism to save the wealth of the rich and a few selected capitalists, or we can transition to socialism and government of the people, by the people, for the people.

    Haha .. fantastic!

    1) Capitalism is being consolidated by the Progs as we speak. Except of course they're consolidating it for the elite only ... not the working and middle classes.

    2) Yep, that's their plan. Transition the working and middle classes to a permanent underclass of dependent consumers, and run their IV lines directly to your elites via your Welfare States. They don't need fascism to pull this off .. it's been a roaring success these past 20 odd years.

    3) How about the PEOPLE do that, since it's FOR them? If it's not coming from the ground, it's coming from your favoured elites - and thus bullshit.

Do you realize that communist society cannot be imposed on a nation? You don't understand this, do you?

    False dichotomy fallacy incoming:
Or we could opt for liberty, justice and prosperity by abandoning the Big Lie that both capitalism and socialism are based on: that there is no fundamental difference between owning the fruits of one's labor and owning others' liberty rights to use what no one's labor ever produced.

    No you don't.
You do realize that Marx was wrong about pretty much everything he said, right? That's why he had to dismiss all appeals to empirical fact and logic as "bourgeois." You do realize that, right?
I've heard lots of stupid things from people who were wrong about $#!+.

OK so you know nothing about this but you like to posture as a know-it-all.

Marx was right about history and society. He was wrong on all things-economic.

No, he was not. History is not the unfolding of an inevitable dialectic, nor is it governed by the predominant modes of production. And society is not merely an arena of class warfare, nor are its principal antagonisms between employers and their employees.
Except one thing, buried deep in Volume 3 of "Capital" where almost no one would ever read it: that the profits realized by the exploitation of labor are not pocketed by the factory owner, but are taken in land rent and retained by the landowner.

There is no reason to believe Americans will become communists.

Isn't that the same as making people work for social welfare benefits though? You don't have the skills to have employment, so you have to do whatever labor comes your way to make ends meet. Sounds more like in one case the government tells you what to do, whereas in the other the government doesn't say the silent part out loud.

Yes, I suppose that collective labor is similar to work requirements for welfare. But you should tell this to a Republican.

For the record, I don't support work requirements for welfare.

Aren't there at least two members of congress that claim to be socialists? And, the scary thing is that voters put them there? Who are they? It's slipped my mind at the moment, but I'm sure you know who I'm talking about.

I meant the common people of any other country. Of course there are individuals in any given country who find Marxist twaddle persuasive, congenial, and/or convenient as a rationalization for their own power seeking.
