Just eight US governors have decided against issuing statewide directives urging their residents to stay at home as the outbreak of the coronavirus escalates and spreads across the country, the last holdouts in the nation.
The governors, all of whom are Republican, have offered a variety of explanations for why they have not followed the lead of their colleagues from coast-to-coast -- along with countries across the world -- by ordering people to restrict their movement in hopes of slowing the pandemic.
In doing so, they've collectively ignored the stay-at-home pleas of Dr. Anthony Fauci, the nation's top infectious disease expert, who said in a CNN interview: "If you look at what's going on in this country, I just don't understand why we're not doing that."

    Wow.

Only 8 State Governors are avoiding a Shutdown.

Everyone KNOWS that the USA Virus Outbreak will Last Longer and Spread Further if all 50 States aren't on board with the shutdown.

    Only 8 Governors have refused.

    ALL ARE REPUBLICANS.

    Any idea why that is?

Not a Good look for Trump's GOP.

Does anyone want to defend these Governors?

    Thoughts?

I'm kind of irked with Fauci's comment of "I just don't understand why we aren't doing that."

    He knows exactly why.

This administration, and Republicans as a whole, care more about the stock market than they do the health of the citizens they represent.

I'm pretty sure Fauci was speaking rhetorically....

Here's a line sure to bring a smile to many faces on here

    SNIP
Aides to several of the Republican governors said the only persuasion that was likely to move their positions was specific guidance from the President.

The economy as a whole can tank over this and of course you cant think past the stock market but project that to others.

I cashed out of that casino a decade ago. And, frankly, IDGAF what happens to it, and neither do most Americans, as it is not indicative of their financial holdings.

    Nice bob and weave, though...
