Unless there is actual evidence that would prove conclusively who is responsible for the prank call, it cannot be said for certain who is the guilty party. Therefore there is no evidence, none whatsoever, that the person who made the call aligns with conservative political ideologies. Since I took an oath, long ago, to protect & defend the Constitution against "...all enemies, foreign & domestic...", & lost friends in a distant hell hole who took the same oath, I have little pity for the most strident domestic enemies of any part of our Bill of Rights. Briefly put, far better young Americans have made the ultimate sacrifice trying to protect what Hogg & his well funded, scripted & attention hungry children are trying to destroy. When "Attention" Hogg et al enlisted to be enemies of of the 2nd Amendment using the most nefarious bullying tactics available, he/they deserve all the legal retaliation guaranteed by the 1st Amendment they get. If there were any substance to Hogg's scripted position, the diminutive demagogue would debate his classmate & fellow "survivor" or others who have offered to do so. Why won't he?
The preamble to the US Constitution speaks of domestic tranquility. You should be ashamed of yourself for supporting policies that lead to the opposite of tranquility. Falsely reporting a hostage situation to the police is not legal. Your side has not been fair to him and has continually harassed him. Now you expect him to sit down and engage in a civil debate? I don't know what he is thinking, but I question what a debate would accomplish. It's not like gun apologists would suddenly start lining up to support gun control if he won the debate.
What are his public statements and opinions supposed to accomplish? What did he mean when he tweeted "Can we please not debate this as Democrats and Republicans but discuss this as Americans?" What will it take to accomplish this goal: "To those politicians who say change will not come, I say we will not stop until every man, every woman, every child, and every American can live without fear of gun violence, to that I say, 'No more'!"
