No matter where you are on the planet, no matter what angle the Sun sits at, its angular size is near as you can get to 1/2 a degree. This lack of variance completely disproves the flat Earth claim. This is why the distance is critical. If at its closest point, the Sun is 3000 miles, then when it is at a low 20 degrees such as viewed in high latitudes it would be nearly 9000 miles away from an observer. Yet as stated and indisputable, it is 1/2 a degree wide. That is quite impossible.

Set the angle "A" to 2 degrees, 4 Sun widths above the flat Earth horizon. This gives the distance to the Sun as 86,000 miles away from the observer! Worse still, it's still 1/2 a degree wide!
