No, it's a criminal act that would lead any sane person to call for justice.

I'll keep it simple this time. Salaries ARE charity if they're doing charitable work. If you donate to research, and that money pays somebody's salary to do the research, was that not charity? Why can't you understand this concept?

Here maybe their explanation will make more sense to you: http://www.factcheck.org/2015/06/where-does-clinton-foundation-money-go/

What will be Hilliary's future? I see a big reunion of "old cronies": the hag herself, Huma Weiner, Lorretta Lynch, Donna Brazile and Cheryl Mills all in Federal Prison Camp.

It is being widely reported there was video discovered on Weiner's laptop.

Translation: The ends justify the means

Ah yes, integrity WOULD seem nebulous to an "ends justifies the means" Clinton supporter, so I will refrain from using such confusing words. The United States is harmed by having a ruling class which is above the law. If you or I were charged with a crime, the criminal justice system isn't going to give a damn if our actions "harmed America", the question would be whether we in fact committed the crime. We could go on about how we had good intentions when we committed the crime, but the result would be "so you confess. Guilty as charged". We should hold people in positions of power to a higher standard, not a lower one. If the people who make the laws don't have to abide by them, then they have no moral authority (oops, sorry, I guess I used a confusing term there) to expect anyone to obey the law, and that hurts America.

The foundation was turned into a device to enrich the Clintons personally by indulging in political corruption, pay to play. That the foundation hid behind charity is as old as crime syndicates. Your assumption is disconnected from reality.

The political favors in return for money to the foundation and money to the Clintons is corruption, and criminal. That you are ok with it is also a problem.

This is the type of people Hillary's gang associates with. You just don't hang with sick freaks like this unless you're also completely (*)(*)(*)(*)ed up.

I don't know how you managed to so grossly misinterpret or distort the data ON YOUR OWN LINK, but I challenge readers of this post to check out YOUR link and TRY to duplicate numbers. You have totally lost your credibility.

Zorro implied that he considered the Gates Foundation a reputable charity, and I am betting that he won't attack the integrity of a Republican President. I assume that he will consider these two to be high-caliber endorsements.

Ah, well we'll see if he does. I guess I was looking at it from my own POV and thinking, "so what? They're scumbags too". But I'm more nonpartisan than some.

These Foundations seem to be easily hotwired into corrupt money laundering, bribery and tax evasion schemes. I support getting rid of the tax exemptions for all non profits. It's sad the Clintons had to screw it up for everyone, but when you have the Gates and Bushs involved clearly they aren't sharp enough to stay clear of the filthy Clintons, it's pretty clear the rot is pervasive. The Clintons running these crooked Charities went from dead broke and stealing the WH furniture to a 9 figure networth, just since Bill left office? It doesn't take a genius to see what is going on there.

I'm fed up with it, it shutting the whole thing down is what it takes to end the influence and access pedaling, then shut it all down.

And then you have the WH orchestrated scam of "we approve tax exempt status for these guys, but not for those guys, and we lost all the records to explain how we made those decisions, and by the way I'm taking the 5th now and retiring on a cushy lifelong taxpayer funded pension now!"

I've had it. It's all corrupt, its all a scam and we have had enough of the blatant lying and robbery.

Let the Gates and the Bushs pay inheritance taxes on what they have accumulated when they pass, same as the rest of us do.

In other words, shut down ALL charities to appease the jealous cynics who consider them Ponzi schemes or those who turn them into scandals for political purposes.

Not "shut them down", end the tax exemption that the Clinton's have shown is so easily turned into money laundering, bribery and tax evasion. That is the problem with failing to police their own, what one does reflects on others. Had the rest of the Non-Profit world shunned the Clinton's obvious corrupt scam it would have never gotten so out of hand, but they did not. I do not know why, but I do know that its a horrible influence peddling mess.

I don't have non-profit, I'm sure you don't either. Why should the fabulously wealthy get to accumulate so much untaxed wealth, when we can't. Why are they allowed to go on and on and on about how much they would love to pay higher taxes even as they arrange to shield billions if not trillions from taxation?

So yup, we clearly cannot as a society police this effectively so they can pay taxes just like everyone else.

And I see FIVE FULL YEARS after the IRS scandal over the Tea Party broke, they continue to show bias against granting Conservative Groups Tax Exempt Status, so blatantly that Federal Judge has just issued an order to the IRS for them to stop their bigotry.

So yeah, screw it. No more tax exempt status, for anyone.
    ~
The IRS is still targeting tea party groups for illegal scrutiny by refusing to process applications that have been pending for years, a federal court said in a ruling made public Friday, ordering the tax agency to quit stalling.

U.S. District Judge Michael R. Barrett said the IRS can still either approve or deny the Texas Patriots Tea Party’s application for nonprofit status, but the agency can no longer sit on its hands. And he said the IRS must give the application an honest evaluation without prejudice stemming from the yearslong targeting.

In a series of stark findings, Judge Barrett ruled that the IRS did in fact single tea party groups out for special scrutiny because of their political viewpoints in opposition to President Obama — undercutting congressional Democrats who said liberal groups faced the same level of targeting.

“The evidence strongly suggests that the IRS initiated the delay because TPTP’s application was perceived at the screening stage to be a Tea Party case,” Judge Barrett, whose courtroom is in Ohio, said in an opinion that was filed earlier under seal, and was only made public after parts of the 29-page ruling were redacted.

It’s the latest blow to the tax agency, which is facing a separate order from a judge in Washington, D.C., to process a handful of other cases the agency had delayed.

The TPTP applied for non-profit status in 2012 and quickly got caught up in the political targeting that snared hundreds of groups.

After the IRS admitted it was maltreating the groups in 2013, the agency began to process most of the applications — but some of the groups sued, and the IRS refused to process their cases. The IRS said its standard policy was to halt applications in litigation, and also said it was afraid that by beginning processing it would open its agents up to lawsuits against them individually.

Judge Barrett rejected each of those arguments, saying that the IRS itself admitted the litigation policy wasn’t absolute and saying that agents who take an honest look at the application aren’t likely to face a lawsuit.

The TPTP is part of a broader class action lawsuit against the IRS, but it was the only member of the class whose application was still pending.

    http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2016/nov/4/judge-orders-irs-stop-tea-party-targeting/

The arrogance of this Administration is breathtaking. Judge after judge in ruling after ruling has ordered the IRS to halt their illegal targeting of conservative groups, but the IRS has thumbed its nose at the courts and continues to play politics with tax exempt applications by conservatives.

The real world impact is that most of these groups who've had their applications slow walked through the system wither and die because donors can't take the tax deduction from monies they contribute to these groups while those that support Left Wing groups can. This IRS scam has been in place for 5 years stifling the free speech of conservatives. So yes, I'm tired of the whole thing. If they cannot apply the rules fairly and equally then enough is enough. If they can't clean up their act in five years, why think they can in six?

In fact, until judges throw a few IRS managers in jail for contempt, the IRS will continue giving the middle finger to the country.

    Enough's enough.

You can pretend the Clinton Foundation is a real charitable organization, the truth is that it is not. Actually read the financial statements, don't regurgitate PR blurbs and pretend they are meaningful. Follow the money. And the money shows the Clinton Foundation is a total scam.

I notice you provide no data at all. The link is to the financial pages of the Clinton Foundation. Go read the audited report for 2014. Obviously you did not even bother to look. Or maybe you did, and in order to save face you decided on your ridiculous response?

The charities can't be shut down because all our universities, hospitals, etc. are supported by charities. Our state governments do not have the money to cover the costs. It's the way the system works.

There are means though to stop many of the loop holes in our tax system so everything can be more equitable. A flat tax with certain exceptions for charities would be a good idea. In many countries they have high sales taxes, and the more expensive the item the higher the percentage of tax.

The problem with this though is that it would limit sales, so it wouldn't be good for industries. Anyway I'm not an economist, but there's one thing I do know, and that is the accountants who make a fortune figuring out the tax loop homes for millionaires are not going to allow the system to change.

As for the Bushes and Gates giving to the Clinton charity, it has nothing to do with the high treason committed by Hillary in giving out state favors to foreign governments for donations.

Your 440 million was net assets. All contributions are also considered assets until disbursed. Below are the correct figures:

    Program services 217,707,941 217,707,941
    Management and general 21,388,327
    Fund raising + 9,125,430
    Total operating expenditures 30,513,757 +30,513,757
    Total disbursements 248,221,698
    Cost effectiveness 87.7%

You don't do your own taxes, do you?

ps: Columns don't line up on posted version.

Since only a small percentage of contributing governments were given these "favors", your assumption is an illogical generalization.

Is your main beef with the Clinton Foundation or charity tax exempt status (or is it only with tax exempt status of groups you feel lean to the left)?

    Guilt by association again?

    Is that all you have?

By that spurious measure the Clintons are "guilty" of the Trump University scam that bilked hardworking Americans just because they have attended the same fundraisers together.

Come up with some actual evidence that will stand up in a court of law.

    Irrelevant numbers.

"Cost effectiveness" is a meaningless term. How much actually goes to help the people the charity claims it is trying to help? The financial report shows <13%.

The standard metric is that any charity that spends less than 1/3rd of their budget on actual charity is a scam.

The Clinton foundation is just a front for bribery (pay to play), that's been an open secret for years, and its been proven over the past month thanks to WikiLeaks and other diligent people.
