Great, thanks. I'm still locked in a contract with Dish and I've used up my free week of a Hulu trial but once my Dish contract is over I'll definitely look into getting another service. I'm sick and tired of Dish and their endless disputes with providers, because they don't want to cough up the fees, although they keep charging us top money for their defective produt.

Yea Hulu live is a great platform. Plus you get all the extra streaming benefits with the live TV including no commercials/ads while streaming shows in their library. Hopefully when your contract ends you can go that route. Works for me, at least.

Oh by the way. The NFL red zone offers weekly trials too. You can do it all season long if you use different email addresses ;)

    So I've heard...

Oh, that's good to know! This way I can bide my time and wait to see if hopefully Dish gets into an agreement with the NFL and the channel is back. Thanks.

I've explored channel lists for Hulu, Sling, and FuBo. It seems to me at first glance that the most complete one for me is Sling. Neither is perfect. There isn't one that offers everything I want, such as ACCN, Fox Sports South, NFL Redzone, ABC and CBS, ESPN channels, etc. Sling is the closest to it but it doesn't carry ABC in my area and ABC has lots of college football. Darn. FuBo doesn't have ESPN (although it seems that now they're reached an agreement with them so this might change soon). I don't remember what Hulu didn't have, I think, NFL RedZone.

You don't need NFL redzone on your TV. If you have an HDMI cord, you can stream it from nfl.com. and plug it into your TV- at least that's how it was last year.

Good point, and I do have a long HDMI cord precisely for this reason, to comfortably send content from my laptop to my TV from the couch.

    @ArmySoldier
So far so good, the game is on a local TV station here that I do get. So problem averted for now. We'll see what Sunday brings.
Aaaaaand the season has started! Finally!

Sorry I've been away on training orders. I have just rewatched a lot of the games on the nfl game pass. That lions game was insane. The RB dropped a wide open short pass IN THE END ZONE! Wow. Luckily I'll be able to catch my Patriots this week. I rewatched that game but it was a little boring.

I have Cam Newton as my fantasy QB for this week, a bit of a risky move but I like Cam so I'll be watching Pats @ Seahawks with great interest.

Dish has resumed the NFL channels, so problem averted/ended. I still don't have the Fox Sports channels and no ABC which does carry some college games I crave but I found some ways to circumvent that by using Locast. I think I won't be needing Reddit for now, but thanks anyway for letting me know of this possibility.

Go Chiefs! It was so fun to watch football, after the crazy Spring & Summer.

Newton should put up a lot of fantasy points. The Pats run game should be limited by the Seattle defense. So Cam will need to use his legs and his arms which is gold for fantasy points. But I do worry that he'll still throw a few picks. However if he puts up enough yards those picks won't really matter. He's a cheap viable option for daily fantasy football.

Myself and several members of this forum did a fantasy league about 3 years ago. It was a lot of fun. We should do it next year.

Pats lost in a thriller. Not that I thought we were going to win before the game started, but I couldn't have been happier with Cam's performance. He was throwing bombs and scrambling like his college days. He made up for 95% of the entire Pats offense through the air and ground last night, which is INSANE. We couldn't get the run game going so he took matters into his own hands. Disappointing ending but still very proud of his play and how he handled the press conference.

The Pats D lost that game for them. Each of our corners and safeties got TORCHED that game. It was hard to watch with the one exception of the pick 6. Other than that one interception, the rest of the game the D did nothing.

I was so rooting for Cam to get that TD two seconds before the end! He didn't, but that doesn't decrease his merit, as, like you said, he carried the offense on his shoulders. Meanwhile the Panthers are stuck with that bum Bridgewater who is inaccurate and an interception machine. I can't understand why they dumped Cam for Bridgewater. Oh well. I'm a Panthers' fan so I continue to root for Cam, and my hope is that the Panthers will be 32nd this season and draft a good QB. The Jets are tough competition for the last place.

If the Panthers decide to tank they can secure TrevLaw! I don't think any team would accept a trade from the 32 place spot (1st overall pick) to give up a chance at drafting him. Unless of course they do an RG3 type of trade the skins did to grab him. That was historic.

So far, we are thoroughly enjoying football season. The canned crowd noise is a bit odd.

When we were watching Sunday night, my husband said that Pete Carroll was going to be fined. Sure enough, he and two other coaches got fined $100,000 for not wearing a mask. Their team's also got slapped with a $250,000 fine.

I wonder where that fine money actually is going to be going. Remember the massive fines from Bounty-Gate that could never be traced to anything other than Goodell "managing it"?

I do not trust the NFL "leadership" as far as I can throw them.

    Gangster organization, for sure.

What would be nice is if they donated that money to charity, instead of lining their pockets.

They say they go to charities. I hardly see proof. We studied some of these cases when I was in CJ 401 in undergrad.

I absolutely despise the canned crowd noises in the NFL games. Seeing empty stands and hearing fans cheering is just too Wag the Dog for me.
