Before the country can be restored to normal?
It would seem Trump intends to continue to stoke violence from his supporters.
Jail seems like the best alternative.

He’s still President. He has every right to contest election results via recount and court actions. He has free speech rights. His supporters have a right to express themselves. All the violence happening has been directed at Trump supporters by BLM and Antifa egged on by democrat politicians. So the answer is no. We Trump supporters will be stoked, energized, and outspoken non stop through the next four years and Trump will be the face of our opposition to the fraudulent new regime. Trump will likely be a candidate for President in 2024 within in a week one side or the other of Biden’s coronation.

As far as the general population is concerned, Trump is history -- bad history, but he will be in the rearview mirror soon enough. As to whether the GOP will continue to mollycoddle him after the inauguration is yet to be seen. That's for Republicans to eventually decide, but if they think they can still keep ties with Trump and have any credibility in the future, well I think they will be sorely mistaken.

I'm more worried by Trump fans and their endless pursuit of cheap conspiracy fiction. As has been the case for 3 decades, the most dangerous fringe group to threaten America comes from white right-wing militia groups. That is an issue we need to keep a close eye on.

No, I don't think Trump needs to be "silences."

In fact, I am not sure what that really means, to be honest.

To be safe, I am going to say "no," thanks.

Dirty Donnie should be prosecuted to the limit of the law for civil and criminal fraud related to his financial activities, at the very least, here in New York State.

If he doesn't pardon himself, the DOJ should access and review all the material he withheld from congress's subpoenas and interview all the White House staff whom he ordered not to testify.

    Transparency , remember ?
If there's nothing there, he has nothing to worry about.

I think Trump made a big mistake when he had Barr investigate Hunter.
    Everybody is free game now.

All politicians want to be the first to use a new weapon. They forget it can, and will, always be used against them in the future.
