Division.
Family, friends, neighbors, being political every day almost. When rarely caring about it in the past. It was near constant for 4 yrs.

It has settled down somewhat already.

Cute? Did you see any famous people come out with a noose around their neck, claiming they were attacked by some crazy socialist wearing a Biden hat?

Did you see the right wing media try and wreck the life of a black teenager for daring to smile at a native Indian who got into his face?

Do you see nightly riots and vandalism done in the name of All Lives Matter defended by the right?

Do you see crazy white people running around stealing Biden hats off of kids while calling them socialists?

I mean...the party of science now has 72 genders and believes equity is about removing all standards of testing so that everyone can pass through high school.

Remember that time that right leaning riots ended up taking over an entire city block and refused entry to anyone they didn't want?

Remember when the proud boys followed two police officers shot in the face to the hospital they were being cared for and chanting "I hope you die"?

I mean...the list of crazy is pretty substantial here. I can keep going.

I hope you didn't send your money to Trump because all the money he got from supporters, he pocketed, and didn't invest a cent in legal defense funds he promised he'd set up to reverse the results of this free and fair election. If you did send money then you were the victim of a conman.

 

For example “the left” which has to mean anyone who disagrees with Trump. I do not consider myself or any of the people I have associated with in my lifetime to be “the left”. I have known super liberals, libertarians, conservatives, and moderates over my lifetime who are all pretty reasonable intelligent people and have gotten along with and debated issues with over the years. Since the abolishment of the fairness doctrine 40 years ago and the rise of AM radio, then Fox News and the craziness of internet sites, the discourse has steadily devolved into a bunch of hateful finger pointing and silly name calling. Until Trump, the candidates who were nominated generally stayed away from this type of hyperbolic trash and respected each others opinions while debating the issues. I can remember the winners and the losers being generally on the same pages regarding our nation. I don’t ever remember Nixon calling Humphrey or even McGovern a Commie traitor. I don’t remember Carter calling Reagan a fascist. I do not remember Clinton calling Bush or Dole any names or McCain or Romney calling Obama an Islamofascist. Trump and his lackeys in the press and media have taken things to an all time low.

 

I don't care if you agree or disagree with Trump. You are allowed too. The moment you call me racist because I wear a Maga hat denotes that you are crazy. And there are A LOT of people in that corner.

Trump caused hysteria on the left when he won unlike that I have ever seen before in my life. It lasted for about 4 years. FOUR YEARS of super crazy, taking everything he was doing and twisting some bullshit narrative on to it.

I knew this was going to be a crazy ride when Madonna proclaimed fantasies of blowing up the White House before he even entered office. I mean I have never heard of a public figure so openly talk about killing the president and to cheers? What the hell world is this?

The left leaning media? I was never a fan of CNN but they have turned into such a bias pos. What with their selective -every story is racist- nonsense which is causing havok to our society. I was never a fan of fox news but compared to CNN (this was a WHITELASH!) they are now more middle right instead of far right.

It was constant for 4 years because left wing media were creating hysteria with their bias news reporting regarding anything Trump related.

 

Which has nothing to do with partisan name calling.

The division I witnessed was still rational. Likely because the contact was in person.

And normally non political people became political. Now many have gone back to being happy people again.

Without legitimate and transparent forensic audits, one's belief that the election was fair, or not, is entirely based on faith. I have NO IDEA if there were fraud and/or mistakes and neither does anyone else. I DO KNOW that a lot of election officials are adamantly opposed to anyone taking a close look at what occurred in their jurisdictions. Why is that?
