...and yet they do any way. So that doesn't work at all.

I'd rather be a moral person than using such thinly veiled excuses to attempt to impose my will upon others. A better outcome would to have no one vote.

Sometime it works some times it doesn't. But to do nothing smacks of cowardice.

Even if you're right about Trump, we would still rather put up with his imperfections than have your perfections imposed on us by force of law. You're never going to get enough people to personally dislike Trump enough to cut off their own noses to spite his face. We are not going back to the economic malaise, unemployment and national decline that we had before Trump. We don't want what is happening in the large democrat run cities along our sea boards to happen in the rest of the country. We don't want it. You can keep your best intentions for us to yourselves; thank you very much. We will continue to head in this other direction.

How's it going for you, Joe? Are you enjoying this economic boom?

Tell me, how exactly does it smack of cowardice?

Whether it is the tyranny of a single person or tyranny of a democracy it is still a tyranny. To support either of these smacks of fear to me.

I won't say cowardice, because fear is often driven by the unknown. Man has huddled together in the dark since they lived in caves, so that kind of uncertainty is often feared. However, irrational accusations, such as those of cowardice, soon appears to those wishing to remove the shackles of tyranny.

We each have a personal responsibility to pick and choose which laws we obey because compliance with law is no excuse for being complicit with what is evil, immoral or just plain wrong. That often requires courage. Cowards comply; they always comply.

Like a few other commenters, I also voted 3rd party in 2016. And in 2012. And... well, I've never actually voted either R or D for president. Call me disillusioned if you will, but I prefer to only vote for someone I believe in, or at least someone espousing policies I actually believe in.

Trump's attitude has pushed me to a place I didn't think I would get. The unending attacks on judges, prosecutors, witnesses, the media, the intelligence community, members of his own party, members of his cabinet, and so on. The demands for personal loyalty. The admonishing of perceived disloyalty. The toxic claims of voter fraud. The ridiculous claims of absolute immunity. The constant undermining of every single thing that might serve as a check on the presidency.

So, yeah. At this point, as long as I'm reasonably confident the D nominee isn't going to plan to lead an unbound presidency, I will probably vote for them - and curse the lack of ranked voting option while doing so.

Lets concede everything you charge Trump with above. Do you think that enough people will personally dislike Trump enough to cut off their own noses to spite Trump's face? Do think that all of these people who are doing so much better now than they were four years ago, people who didn't have jobs who now have jobs, people who have gotten raises, and started new business in industries that we not that long ago thought would take a "magic wand" to bring back here, are willing to go back to that malaise just because they dislike Trump?

If you do not resist the foe you have, in essence, surrendered to him or her. The problem with passifistic philosophies such as yours is that they depend on your opponent being a decent human being. Sadly such are not all that common Ghandi nonviolent resistance works just fine against the Brits, the Soviets would have killed his ass and buried him some where no one could find him.

If there was a true conservative or a centrist libertarian I'd vote for them..

Wouldn't vote for any of the Democrats running for any office.

During Obama, my raises at work were in the $0.25 to $0.35 cents an hour range annually. Since Trump was elected I haven't gotten less than $1.00+ an hour, who do you think I'm voting for?

High taxes and regulations spread poverty as surely as the plague spreads death, and there is no problem that Democrats don't think can't be cured by more taxes and regulations.

Trump’s presents the biggest danger to the country hands down. He just named a no experience in the field acting DNI. Couple him with Barr and nefarious activity is guaranteed. Absolutely no respect for the rule of law or our system of government. Hell, he thinks he’s our chief law enforcement officer. You might want to check the enumerated powers Don.

Yes. Vote for anyone else but don’t limit your options. You can write-in the candidate of your choice.

No, it's not. I've heard anarchism described in many inaccurate ways, but that is a new one.

You seem to have an odd take on anarchism. Anarchism is as I understand it an absence of government. However your stance guarantees that anarchy doesn't happen.

Oh? Did he give up the earnings he makes from foreign and our own government officials staying at his hotels to charity?

No Im sure he uses it to fund other businesses, which hire people, who earn salarys, and pay taxes....

Are you saying owning hotels makes you ineligible to become president?

Is there any real harm done by selling the democrat nomination if it doesn't matter exactly who the not-Trump candidate is?
Is there any real harm done by selling the democrat nomination if the election is a referendum on President Trump?
