How much extra in taxes did you pay the Treasury to battle Global Warming?

We can prove our beliefs by our committal to it, and in no other way. Any belief that does not command the one who holds it is not a real belief. And it might shock some of us profoundly if we were brought suddenly face to face with our beliefs and forced to test them in the fires of practical living. If you hate Big Oil, give up your car. If you think coal causes global warming, close your account with the electric company. To not do those things make one a hypocrite.

You're free to donate as much of your income as you like to fight "Climate Change", it's your right to buy snake oil. Just don't expect me to.

    Yeah

Let the rest of the world move on with renewables and cheaper energy meanwhile the USA will be paying more because it is using outdated technology

Oh my...do you seriously expect us to believe Australia gets summer when we get winter.

How stupid do you think we are?

If you hate climate change please don't give up your car or disconnect yourself from electricity. If you do this alone then the impact you have will be almost nothing and all the consequences will still happen while your life will be ruined. Even if the US were to give it all up, the developing world pumps out far more CO2 than we do, and it will only be a temporary bump in the road to increasing CO2 output while the US would be left in shambles. Also, if we were to all give up modern technology based on CO2, that would cause a dark age that would be worse than warming, and would prevent us from using our technology from actually coming up with good alternative energy.

The solution is for the world to set goals and reduce CO2 output together, not each individual individually, or each country individually, all nations together. We should also replace our greenhouse gas technologies with alternative energy before abandoning them instead of abandoning them before a viable alternative.

And you are wrong that any believe that doesn't command isn't real. We all believe that we should be healthy and lose weight but most of us don't do it. Human emotions and flaws can get in the way of logically correct beliefs.

Its also unlikely that voluntary donations will fix the problem. Trump supporters very strongly believe in the wall. The cost of the wall is about 20 billion and possibly more. There was a go fund me in the past to fund the wall win donations. It only got 22 million dollars. So please don't donate to fixing climate change. It won't work in real life.

No, our power production is a joint effort of public and private enterprise.

There is no reason at all for the absolutes you propose as the only options - clearly fallacious argument.

Please CITE an answer to your question.

If this is a real argument, you need to support it.

I asked another poster a question, only he knows how much extra he donated to the Treasury to help pay to stop Global Warming. You post makes no sense.

So, you aren't arguing that recognizing the scientific evidence of climate change and doing something about it actually costs more?

So you want everyone with you paying to stop climate change, but are unwilling to make an sacrifices alone, do I have that right?

Just like the wall. You wouldn't pay for the wall alone. You want everyone else to pay with you.

It's a waste of taxpayers money. All the Government needs to do is add a check box and entry line to tax return forms stating "I would like to donate $________ dollars to climate change research." This way folks that believe can donate directly through the Treasury.

I don't. There are tens of millions of pedestrian and private vehicles that cross into the US every year. Simply charging them a $5.00 to $7.00 per person toll to enter the United States would generate the revenue to pay for and maintain the wall.

Currently Trump is charging the wall to the national credit card. So basically all taxpayers future taxpayers will be paying for the wall in interest spending. Do you support this?

Surely you support everyone paying taxes of some kind and want to force everyone to pay for what you want instead of you just voluntarily giving your own money. Surely at one point you will or have wanted one type of government spending to be increased on something. Be it improving border security, or other immigration control, the military, schools, police, anti-terrorism, a war (e.g. Iraq or Afghanistan), infrastructure. I could use the same argument against you and prove you a hypocrite.

Science? "More than likely" isn't "science", it's speculation.
