If we are to thrive as a country we must come to an agreement on what is the truth and what is not. I think this new site will help in that endeavor. At least to the extent the minions are willing to accept the truth. I have to admit, for that segment of the population, based on what I've seen on this board, I'm not optimistic. The best that can likely be hoped for is the persuadable middle will enlighten themselves with the facts and in so doing realize these right wing charlatan's goal is to obfuscate the truth, not reveal it.

I highly doubt that it is only right-leaning websites that are guilty of this. This is the kind of thing that fuels the kneejerk reactionism to liberals that we see daily on this board. If liberals cannot be honest about slant and bias on their side, how do you expect right-leaning folks to ever question it on theirs?

 

I don't blame you for being a bit nervous that the sites you rely on will be exposed as being reliably unreliable in the accuracy of what they report. I suppose part of your defensiveness is due to the disadvantage you immediately find yourself in by choosing to ignore Don's habit of lying and the copious amount of Kool-Aid you have had to swill to avoid acknowledging it.

At no point did it say it would be only monitoring right wing fake news, but you just automatically assumed it would be. Kind of a freudian slip there eh? An organization whose stated goal is to eliminate fake news automatically enters the bad category in your mind.
