The Right is invested in an effort to make facts subjective so they can believe what they choose to believe.

so, in other words, it played precisely the same game that it pointed out the 'fact checkers' playing.

    ...which was the point iyam.

People are slowly catching on to the 'accuse-others-of-what-we're-doing'. You might get a little more play with it, but the end is near.

    You miss the obvious.
    1. You seldom have all the facts regarding a given circumstance.

2.No small amount of the information available on a given subject maybe at best questionable.

3.Because of one and two, there will be multiple ways in which the facts can be assembled to reach a conclusion. Life is not a Sherlock Holmes novel. Things are seldom so cut and dried or for that matter simple.

No, not at all. What I wrote is the author didn't say the fact checker was wrong, they twisted the result by "digging deeper" to get the result they wanted and the results were very minor but, to them (and you) it was a "see, I told you" moment.
    But not true

    Yes, now facts are "fluid".

My goal is not to win points, i am not defending Trump or criticizing Obama. I was simply pointing out to @Lee Atwater some similar policies shared by Trump and Obama.

Obama was one of our greatest statesman, maybe the best, it's unfortunate, for whatever reason , he was not able to fulfill his promises with action.

Trump is one of or is the worst statesman we have had for a President, even worse than GWB. Yet, many of Obama's policies and Trump's policies remain very similar.

With that being said, I know you, along with millions of others from both sides, don't care. Primitive Tribalism instincts guide your emotions and your thoughts, it is "us against them", regardless of what actions are taken by either side. Trump's tariffs are a good example. For 25 years progressives , Ross Perot supporters, and blue collar workers from both parties , advocated for the end of trade agreements. Remember the Battle in Seattle? Ending NAFTA and other trade agreements was a heavy plank in Bernie Sanders campaign, it nearly got him nominated. (probably would have if the process wasn't rigged)

Now, it seems because of Trump, everyone is a free trader.

The most interesting thing is that you're afraid of it even though you will deny it. It's all over your response. Seems you know damned well about fake news and that it's perpetrated by Fox, Breitbart, Newsmax, etc, etc, etc. and exposure scares the pee-pee out of you.

"Our president" is going to be impeached on the basis of those "ridiculous things". Wait and see. It's getting close now.

I'm actually impressed with your reply (sorry for the delay). I have no issues with what you've said. I use google news and aim for local sources. But I also do most of what you said above.

    I withdraw my complaint.

Went to a forum last night at UNR( University Nevada Reno) guest speakers were Lucy Dalglish(,Dean of journalism in Maryland) & Trevor Timm(founder & lawyer of Freedom of the Press foundation) they were talking about the First Amendment rights & some history on the attacks of journalists going back decades & are nothing new, however, nobody in history has ever, on stage, put journalists life in danger like trump has--
Also a very interesting point that Trevor made was the fact that people clump "the media" all into one group when complaining about media coverage, when in fact there is social media(like Facebook & your above mentioned),the local newspapers ( that people in their communities tend to trust to give accurate & honest coverage),radio & then there is TV media( which is the "media" that most are disparaging (like Fox & MSNBC).
So,when people are complaining about the "media",an important question that should be asked is "what media" are you referring to?
Will America survive this "current" attack on journalists by trump & the alt-right Breitbart media type--the answer is a resounding "YES"--- and here is the reason why,----- trump(with his his many mistruths) helps with this issue because it is easy to fact check with todays technology which the younger journalists are more adept at -actually trump is a great teachers tool--when trump attacks the journalists it is a great motivator for future journalists to study harder to get the story right & accurate----and American's love their news, journalists are not going anywhere---

So how has Trump put reporters lives in danger?

If you will; compare his actions to those of the media who, with their constant barrage of hate, have triggered random nutjobs to shoot Republicans and law enforcement officers.
