The point is -- if there was no video and it was simply her word against his --- we have hundreds of years of established history that shows us -- her word will mostly likely be accepted over his...

This is why he said if there were no video footage, it could have went quite differently...

Just like if there was no video footage in this situation, if the officer didn't accidentally record himself planting evidence, it could have went quite differently..

The more you try to deflect to defend your racial bias -- the more pathetic you look...

The doorman works there --- also, most doormen (OF ANY COLOR) don't follow people to their door, see people enter their homes, then call the police on them...but keep on defending that racial bias of yours....

Meanwhile you sycophants have apoplectic seizures if anyone says something mean to you at a restaurant....gtfoh

So did she have the authority or not? You're talking all over yourself. Once you state she didn't have the authority, your argument is over.

Uh huh, good thing you're letting everyone see your true colors. That's why you defend racism that mostly everyone else calls out. All of that drives your wanna-be subtle defense of obvious racists actions against minorities. So sad and pathetic.

Yes, I’m a racist, a violent gun carrying racist and so is every other conservative. So for your own safety why don’t you and all your liberal pals who can’t hack reality start a caravan and march to the southern country of your choice.

What I find fascinating is her work fired her for racial profiling purely due to it going viral. Talk about the king of all knee jerks. On her own time...I mean unless they are fkn psychic and or I missed something.

    Thats really scary.

She stepped beyond her level of authority.

If she had done that to you, I think you would have gone crazy.

arborville, stop pretending that black doormen are the equivalent of the female tenant in authority.

They have the authority, she does not.

people need to accept that not everyone dresses like they are well off, it's fashionable for the rich to dress poorer - you can't judge a book by it's cover - the rich do not have to wear suits 24-7, they can dress down, wear jogging pants to dress comfortable.. ect....

we see that on these boards were posters complain about poor blacks having cellphones, assuming they are ObamaPhones... crazy

now that said, if someone did that too me, asked to see proof I lived there, I would show them and be on my way, if I refused to show them, that would be a sign I did not live there - lots of apartments have a Mrs Kravitz in them, once she knows who you are, your good, like a free security guard

    au·thor·i·ty
    noun
    1. the power or right to give orders, make decisions, and enforce obedience
    2. a person or organization having power or control in a particular, typically political or administrative, sphere.

She did not have the authority to direct him or give him orders as she did not own the building (some may argue she had authority as a resident of the building and not recognizing the individual but it being a multi family building the issue becomes murky) but upon him forcing himself into a secured building she was well within her rights to question him and/or call the police.

So no, I’m not talking all over myself — you just don’t understand what basic words mean.

She did not have the legal authority to inquire.

we just have to be careful with all these stories, if white people have to fear treating a black person the same as they would treat a white person, white people wont want to be around black people

see something, say something, unless they are black, then just ignore it and hope for the best.... <--- that can cause problems too

imo, this should of never made the news, the police should of came, solved the issue and then it been over

you don't need any legal authority to inquire unless your a cop, then you might need reasonable cause

Really? She didn’t have the legal authority to ask an individual that circumvented a security measure who he was or to enter the building appropriately?

I would love to see the statute on that one, care to post it?

The woman was following condo rules by not allowing entry of someone you don't know until they show they are residents. You may question the rule for being a bit over the top but there is no evidence she was motivated by racism.

She did not have the authority to impede the man.

    She profiled him.

    She paid the correct price.

I said that it looks like she profiled him and that following someone that you fear into an elevator is ridiculous (especially alone). I don't know why you believe I said they have the same level of authority. We agree.

False to "Her lacking the legal authority would have meant asking him would have been against the law."

Steve N is projecting with "Finally, when he has nothing intelligent to say, he spews insults as you've just witnessed."
