Your posts were addressed and it appears they were more emotional than factual. No one was punished for having sex. She was not trying to have sex with the shooter, she was attacking her. She is a violent person and belongs in prison.

 

I’d like to know more about what led up to the shooting, specifically, what the alleged aggressor did right beforehand, in order to figure out whether the alleged victim truly had just cause to use lethal force. IOW, did she shoot vecause the other woman was, say, lunging at her with a knife, or was she shooting as an act of aggression herself?

A violent person who puts other vulnerable people in danger through her violent acts.

No different than a burglar who breaks into a house and, by her crime, causes someone innocent to get accidentally shot in the confusion.

 

This is a tough one for me. While she may belong in prison for assault, I'm not sure this is the right call. Judges sometimes become activists!

The prime issue is her violent actions led to the death of her fetus. She put her fetus in harm's way when she initiated the assault.

As for actual punishment for the assault, I don't think we need that, since she was shot. (That's what she gets for attacking someone)

She's welcome to put herself in harm's way, but when she's pregnant with someone else inside her it's a different story.
