And you would have been arrested too and there are charges pending against one of the other people there probably for interfering with an officer peforming their duty.

Are you watching the college games on TV. Everyone is wearing mask and I am quite sure it a person takes theirs off except for taking a drink or putting a nacho in their mouth security will instruct them to put it back on and if they refuse they will be asked to leave and if they refuse they will be put under arrest. You have no bill of rights claim here.

Why. I am sure the requirement to wear a mask is on the ticket or on the online cite as they are for the games I attend for my grandkids. Everyone knows you have to wear a mask to be there. It is a government mandate and school rule which they can enforce.

Tell me what do you think would have happened had the woman refuse and the office said "OH OK then"........................

I’m not playing your argumentative game. I was just mentioning how our schools are doing differently. The mask mandate isn’t law, it’s school policy.

I can't drink a beer in that stadium either, is that tyranny? You can't smoke, is that tyranny? You can't go nude, is that tyranny. If you stand up and start yelling obscenities at the kids and coaches and ref's they will remove you is that tyranny?

You think having to wear a mask to protect other people from you in a public place is tyranny....................geez is this really where we are at in this country and a civil society?

I guess the thing that really gets me 'exercised' is the fact that she was sitting "remotely" in her own family unit separated from other individuals & given the escalation of the situation... "LEGITIMATE" mitigating entities (Sheriff or State Police) should have been brought in - at no point should her arms & knees have been subjected to the the abuse of her being thrown about like a rag doll in those bleachers b. (Period!)

(Who are we kidding here... arms, knees - person hood / psyche...)

Well when you refuse to wear your mask at public gathers and when asked to leave and your refuse and then physically resist efforts to remove you I hope they are showing the movie on the jailhouse TV for you.

I'm not arguing I'm inquiring. What's different at your school? I have no reason to believe at the school where this occurred that the teachers and coaches and people running the sidelines are told they can go and confront people in the stands, I imagine it is just like your school and left up to the security at the game.

Sounds like you are in your own sort of "jail"... - conforming to the somewhat spotty 'buffoonery' of the state oversight entities - in this regard... no?

The Bill Of Rights was declared null and void with the passage of the so-called Patriot Act. Snowden pointed that out and so have others.

The US has been a police state for decades. We have the government we deserve, as you have shown.

This incident, according to the YouTube link took place in Logan, Ohio. So, I did a little research.

First the woman was not arrested for not wearing a mask. She was arrested for refusing to leave the property when asked to. The School where the incident took place had a published policy that the requires everyone to wear masks at all times on school property. This woman refused to leave, and was arrested and charged with criminal trespass, and other charges are pending.
    https://www.cbsnews.com/news/ohio-woman-tased-not-wearing-mask-football-game-arrested/

Yet, with all that, the resource offer may have been in the wrong. According to information provided in a police statement, and omitted by CBS, the woman stated that she could not wear a mask because she has asthma. If true, that would mean that she is exempt by the Ohio State Mask Mandate that went into effect on July 23rd. (All the Resource Officer needed to do is ask whether the woman had an inhaler. If she didn't then she was lying. No one that suffers from Asthma goes without an inhaler especially if they are going to spend time outdoors.) Nothing in the article or the Police statement says whether the woman did or did not have asthma. It is possible that they did not bother to check.

Further, that mandate does not require masks if you are outdoor, able to maintain social distancing, and remain in a family group. Clearly all three exemptions are shown initially in the video. So again, this woman should not have been asked to leave in the first place. Now, if the School has additional rules that exceed the state mask mandate, they have to be clearly posted, and must include that state mandate exemptions do not apply. Rule changes that are not clearly posted are not enforceable.

This woman should sue the Logan Police, and the School Board. Just my honest opinion.

She was on school grounds and in the stands and she crated the physical resistence. She could have merely walked out of the stadium.

Your post suggests you don't know what this OP and story is about.
I suggest you read the story and get up to date on why she was arrested. Hint, not wearing a mask is not the reason. Hint 2, trespassing played a role.

Scroll back. First she wore a mask into the stadium to get in. When she made the claim she has asthma the officer told her she would as according to the mandate and school rules have to west a face shield instead. Did she show a medical alert card showing she had asthma? Wonder if she also parked in a handicapped parking space. She was given the opportunity to leave the stadium peacefully and she refused. Instead she choose to yell and scream, hmmmm she was suffering from an asthma attack, and get physical.

    And

OHSAA comments on COVID-19 mask policy at sporting events

"These rules include social distancing and wearing a mask. And if you don't wear one, he says you should leave if asked to go.

"If we have fans that do not choose to follow that order then they need to be asked to put your mask on or please, it's time you can't stay and watch your loved one participate," said Ute."
    https://abc6onyourside.com/news/loc...-association-comments-on-covid-19-mask-policy

For my grandkids games it's on the tickets and the online sites and all over the news and emails to parents. The president of the county schoolboard has been quite clear that in the mask aren't being worn the games will be shutdown.

What 1st amendment right was she exercising? Wearing a mask at social gatherings in a place that requires a mask is following the guidelines of said business/school/public space.
Your rights stop when you invade my rights.

At least this cop didn't kneel on her neck.

That would have been a better response.

Stop the football game, until the offender left the field or donned the mask.
If she still refused, the home team or her team forfeits the game. My guess is her co parents and kids would have said to leave or mask rather then forfeit.

Would she have been tased, handcuffed, arrested, and charged with trespassing if she had been wearing a mask? The answer to that is obviously NO, which makes me right, and you wrong; as usual.

There was one thing, and one thing only that triggered the whole abusive incident, and that was not wearing a useless mask.

If she was wearing a mask she wouldn't have been asked to leave. You really can't spin this. If you ask me to take off my shoes before entering your house, and I don't, and you ask me to leave, and I don't, what do you do next? When the cop arrives, tells me I can stay if I just remove my shoes, and I don't, what happens next? This is real basic stuff.

Some of us have gone over the applicable orders, and they are ambiguous, so this woman may have been within the law using an asthma exemption. However, the fact she wore the mask to get into the game suggests, at least in her mind, that masks were mandatory.

She'll have her day in court. I think she's playing games. We'll see.

Sorry if not clear the school board president was not saying shut down THAT game, but all future games would be cancelled or played without the parents and fans in the stadium. One person should not be allowed to let that happen.
