Ok, so first, what are the rape statistics for the USA? 1 in 5 women in the US have been raped or experienced attempted rape: (Sexual Assault Statistics | National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC)), Details: (The National Intimate Partner and Sexual Violence Survey: 2015 data brief – updated release | National Sexual Violence Resource Center (NSVRC)) ... so it's not as rare as some might think. Second, this is men's culture in other parts of the world and you would do well to contemplate that the next time someone says that men are becoming weak and masculinity is under attack. Look at the alternative. Third, rape against women is especially brutal and painful, so no wonder a South African woman came up with a female condom with hooks. It would certainly send a loud and clear message to men, but I somehow doubt the woman who uses it would come out of the encounter unharmed.
That's often true in many parts of the world, but in Sub-Saharan Africa, women are pretty dominant. Yes, a "men's culture" might be part of the explanation for what is going on here, but women in South Africa are definitely not "submissive". I don't think the position of women in South Africa is that different from the United States, for example.
This is off topic from what I wanted this thread to be focusing on, but it could also create legal issues. The man might claim the sex was consensual and the woman cruelly used this on him, and then the woman might get in trouble too. Although it would be interesting for both the man and the woman in question to get in trouble, since logically it is impossible for them both to actually be guilty.
The South African law enforcement seems to easily dismiss rape and ignore it. That's why they needed to collect anonymous surveys to find out the real statistics. It's a cultural problem that they easily dismiss the need for consent. Obviously, from our point of view this is wrong, but from their point of view are we wrong? It's all in the eyes of the beholder. And, it seems that South African men rape their women so much that they (the men) don't even care. This leads to other unfortunate practices such as mothers flattening the breasts of their daughters to help prevent them from being raped.
I wonder if one of the issues is stronger and less easily controllable sex drive? Could that be (in part) responsible for the statistically higher rape rates? Maybe someone should bring up a study on testosterone levels, for starters. There seems to be less of a seriousness when it comes to rape, probably because of the attitude "There but for the grace of God go I". In other words there's probably a lot of men who feel like raping women but don't, therefore they feel more sympathy for those who mess up and do. That would be one probable theory. Compare that to East Asian society with high levels of mental discipline, therefore they don't have much sympathy for those who break the rules. Other parts of sub-saharan Africa might have lower rape rates because traditional community structures are in place. (People don't want to commit a crime when everyone in the village knows everyone else) South Africa, being put under the rule of European settlers, faced earlier development than other African countries, which may have been a little bit of a double-edged sword. Traditional community structures disappeared as large cities formed and individuals became more mobile in the modern job market. People were no longer tied to local land and tribal territory. In other parts of Africa the cities are where the elites and middle class live, but in South Africa there are a lot of poor who live in the cities. And then in Muslim parts of Africa, women cover their bodies and are kept more protected. So that would be expected to help reduce rape rates from what they might otherwise be.
I don't think it's testosterone level alone that causes an out-of-control sex drive. I don't know if this is true or not, but I've heard that the brain releases a chemical when a man feels a sexual attraction to someone. And, it's like cocaine, I presume, that it starts out very powerful, but as that person is exposed to more and more of that stimulus the effect it has on their body decreases. That's why men in the west are under control since they have been exposed to scantily-clad beauties all of their life since they were young. Meanwhile, men in the Middle East and Africa are entirely out of control, and they are the cause because they enforce strict dress codes for their women and don't get exposed to women, and don't get their sex drive under control.
Of course not, but it is a factor. Can be one major factor. Are you trying to make us think of Hunter Biden? Whereas if men in some parts of the middle east see even a tiny hint of flesh many times they can't control themselves? I'm assuming that's what your theory is based on? In fact we can easily do a side by side comparison of muslim parts of Africa to non-muslim subsaharan parts of Africa just a little bit further south. Well the problem there is that many women in Africa tend to expose a lot of their body and the men still have a very strong sex drive. That tells us that whether the women in that society are covered head to toe, or going around baring their breasts, there is still another outside component going on that affects the men.

I'm against very long prison sentences when the only evidence is the claims of the woman. I think we have to clarify some details here and not draw overly broad statements. By "violent rapists", can we presume you mean the woman suffered bodily injury that is so severe there is no possibility she inflicted it upon herself to frame the man? In muslim countries women have to be very careful and not go out alone where they will be in contact with men, because if a man does something bad to her the authorities are not just going to accept her word for it, without other additional witnesses.
I am saying she was violently forced to have sex I am not talking about two teens having consensual sex, to me consensual sex is not rape - it can be a crime, but it's not rape and yes, lwop should be only given to proven violent rapists

Women and girls in the Krugersdorp area had complained about the widespread crime and violence. The video crew of was composed of 22 people, 12 of them women.
