Okay. Then I will work to get laws put in place to put more restrictions on our unlimited freedom to encourage people to more mindful in public.

I think it's only a matter of time. People are going to get tired of the anger and hate on display, but aren't going to want to risk their lives over using physical violence to solve it

    Guess we will see.

I'm sorry but you aren't making any sense. You seem to be talking at cross purposes to everyone else. I am going to bow out and leave you to it.

I honestly have no idea where you are coming from and think there are larger problems at play here.

Actually, you did NOT answer it. Your entire response to my post that included that question and other thoughts was:

An enlightened point. And I agree with parts of it. I am not going to respond further. I don't think you are interested in changing your view point, or even considering other ones. And if I stick around this thread much longer, I am just going to raise my blood pressure.

I just hate people whom are so self-assured they think their way is the only way. They think they are untouchable. It makes me want to prove them wrong.

So yeah, good day and all. See you at the voting booth.

Nowhere in that response do I see any answer to my question. So what you are "answering" above is new. However, I read that as inane blather that tells me nothing, not an answer to a question. Perhaps if you had expounded upon your answer, and given examples as to WHEN wearing a MAGA hat would be considered verbally or psychologically abusing those who dislike Trump and when wearing a MAGA hat would NOT be considered as such, you could provide nuance to the discussion, and others would have a better opportunity to consider their positions and other points of view, which is what you CLAIM to be after. But, as it has been rather painfully easy to demonstrate, it isn't. I was attempting to engage you as you said you wished to be engaged, but it has proven fruitless. I'm interested in discussions of actual depth, not trite circle jerks.

I would not go there if i was paid, Fl born and bred. The racist Democrat mayor instituted that policy. Here in Fl, concealed carry of a knife (within parameters) is perfectly legal. Our weapons laws, are not so fascist or authoritarian. I dont carry a gun but it beats throwing my keys at you. What tolitarian "laws".

    1) Maybe you could model it on North Korea. Or Feudal Japan. Or Communist China. Somewhere all individuality is squashed.

    2) Yes, people are going to get tired of the aggression and violence of adults who can't control their emotional responses in public - itself a form of hatred.

I'm almost 40 years old, you cant hurt my feelings. It's my choice if I choose to allow my emotions to cause me to act in an irrational manner. This is true of any, emotionally healthy, adult.

Likewise, you are not making sense to me.

I guess the simplest way to get my overall view across is this.

IMO, in the USA, I think we have too much freedom in this country. I am okay with some restrictions to said freedom if the amount of safety and unity is enough. I will use every legal means to me to make it happen.

    Good day.

And you don't think you have any limitations to your ability to be affected by those other people.

That makes no sense to me and that is why I think you are lying to me. No one is perfect. Everyone has a limit. Why can't you just accept this?

As I've said before, lots of Americans love living in a rigid police state. You seem to be one of them. I prefer liberty and freedom.

So what are you going to do when that rigid police stat becomes the norm around here?

I will live just fine either way. If it doesn't change, I can just keep my head down.

But based on the strength of your convictions, don't think it will work out for you.

I'm driven by logic and ration, not emotions. I'm not a child, this is the main difference between children and adults.

I'm just fine with other people, as long as they are other adults who know how to act like adults and keep their hands off me. I do have a breaking point, it happens just as soon as some "adult" puts their hands on me or my loved ones and friends. My breaking point has nothing to do with my emotions and everything to do with if someone else, puts their grubby ass hands on me and mine.

Seems to be way off topic, but.......

What do you expect some 'adult' to do if one of your loved ones or friends, "put their hands" on a person whose breaking point was reached by being assaulted by them?

    Okay, I don't believe you.

It's perfectly possible to have emotions and logic at the same time and still be a productive member of society.

I and many others do it just fine.

But I don't know how you will manage it if morality laws get put into place in the USA.

When you have a red line, it is harder to adapt when that line gets crossed.

If they act like emotional idiots (and are adults) and get physical with others, they can take their licks (to a point) just like I would expect if I cut the damn fool.

My family and friends dont go around assaulting people over hats and opinions.

I would stop my loved one before it ever got to that point if I could.

If I could not, then I would have to accept whatever consequences my loved one would have to accept for their actions.

But I wouldn't be condemning them, hating them, or anything like that. I love my family, maybe even more than I love my own life.

I see. So you would want to retain the right to determine what the response (by the person whose breaking point was reached) should be.

If you put your hands on someone (without REAL cause) you deserve an ass whooping (to a point) but I would not watch the person who took a blow, stomp their head into a curb or beat them beyond unconciousness. Do you disagree?

It always depends on the circumstances, so I steer clear of making generalised statements.

As is obvious, if someone has a gun pointed at your head, you don't need to wait to be shot before dealing with the shooter.

I spelled out the circumstances, it was clear. It you slap a hat off my head, I may may just knock you out, but I'm not going to stomp on your ('you' in general) head, when you are down, nor would I allow a friend to do the same.

If you did that down here, you'd be charged with causing grievous bodily harm.

It looks like Felony Aggravated Assault.

if the aggravated assault was intentional, then you may be charged with a class C felony in Tennessee. This means that you could spend anywhere from 3 to 15 years in prison if convicted.

If she cops a plea she might get off easy (with only 10 years in a maximum security prison).
