Woman Shot with BB Gun After Taking Trump Sign from Wrong Yard

A Lincoln County, North Carolina, woman was shot with a BB gun Thursday after removing a Trump sign from the wrong yard.

ABC 11 reports that Peggy Fox was visiting her brother in Lincolnton when she saw the Trump sign on what she thought was her brother’s property.

Fox indicated that her brother has never been political, so she assumed the sign was a prank, and she removed it.

As she was walking away with the sign, 76-year-old Worth McAllister shot her in the arm with a BB gun. The sign was his, as was the property.

So this woman see's a Trump sign, says she thought it was on her brothers property, decides her brother isn't political and takes the sign to throw away.

Turns out she was trespassing on someone elses property, ignored the property owner when he pointed out she was trespassing, and she goes on to steal the sign.

Charges may be brought against the property owner, but she also appears to be guilty of trespassing and property theft.

 

So? Let me get this straight:

A Trump supporter used a case of minor trespassing and petty theft as justification to use potentially DEADLY Force and injure someone?

And some of Trump's Supporters think that it is a good idea to shine a spotlight on this egregious behavior?

OTOH, if a Trump supporter is yelling at you, you have to assume the bullets will be coming soon enough.... I drop the sign and back away slowly myself...

There are some rather expensive and sophisticated air rifles that are deadly but the "Red Rider" variety BB gun is barely capable of even breaking the skin

Yes. The woman risked her life just to steal a sign. She should just call herself a peaceful demonstrator and stick to stealing Nike sneakers and TV sets because there’s no punishment or downside to that.

 

By the way, I don’t believe she misunderstood the property boundaries. It’s just a lame attempt to hide her hatred and thieving ways.

Agreed. I'm sure she knows what the front of her brother's house looks like. Doesn't make it right to shoot at her, but she needs to stay out of other people's yards and political choices.

Then it wasn't what is commonly called a "BB gun" of the "Red Ryder/Rider" variety and still far from "deadly".

 

People take risks when they steal stuff.

 

The point is that AJ has said a TASER is not a lethal weapon, but then says a BB gun is a deadly weapon.

I've taken away both from kids in my time, and many other weapons besides. If I had a choice as to which one to take a hit from, I'd take the BB gun any day of the week and twice on Sunday.

 

Safe to assume next time she will think twice before committing theft and trespassing, hopefully this was a valuable teaching moment.

. No problem with the homeowner filing charges.

And I'll say it again. You guys made YUGE deals out of locked bathrooms and yogurt shops just to convince us racism is alive and well. But when the story goes the other way and someone creates a thread about it you then try to use that as proof of racism. But I guess when math is racist then everything else just has to be racist, too. Why don't you just accept that certain people will dominate TV commercials and never have their races mentioned in the headlines of stories where things go sideways for them and consider it justice.

Back to the OP, the woman stuck her thieving nose into a place where it didn't belong. Right or wrong, she paid for it. And consider this, had she been in a different place and the wrong people saw her with a Trump sign in her hand, they would not know she was stealing it and she'd most likely be beaten within an inch of her life and her car torched.

 

Tell me, are there any Democrats afraid to put a bumper sticker supporting their candidates on their car for fear of it being vandalized? Or a sign in their yards for fear that their house might be burned down or their families harassed and terrorized? Or wear a cap symbolizing their candidate in public for fear of being mocked or physically assaulted? Just wondering.....

 

That's what I've heard.
Some of my misspent youth was spent engaging in BB gun battles in the woods with other kids. Why none of us wear eye patches, I'll never know.
