You cannot be serious. Do you understand anything at all about medicine?

That's between him and his employer. Nothing to do with this case.

    So no 'medical emergency' then.

Yes, they can. Private Property law is unequivocal. You can refuse entry (or service, in the case of enterprise) to anyone, at any time, for any reason. If you doubt it, test in court. Try demonstrating that you have a right to enter random private property, and demand anything you want from its owner/representative.

A consumer can be disgruntled but whatever they choose, they can also press a lawsuit.

If a fire breaks out in your church on Saturday are you Okay if the fire dept. shows up on Sunday?
If you need Heart meds from the pharmacy and they refuse, is that Okay?
Do you go to Red Lobster for tacos?

    Stupid question deserve stupid answers.

Review the thread before you ask questions already answered. The "are you okay" line of argument has been refuted.

I've asked you some questions too. Maybe you can answer them.

    Which is incredibly problematic, obviously.

That's like comparing apples to pizza.

First understand what PRIVATE (property or enterprise) means, then work back from there.

You believe that if a firefighter doesn't fight fires on Saturday, he shouldn't be allowed to fight them Sunday through Friday? He/She should not be hired in then first place.
You believe that the pharmacist doesn't sell any drugs? That does not make sense...of course they sell drugs.
You believe that you have the right to demand a BLT at a restraint[sic] that doesn't sell BLTs? No...but a pharmacy sells plan B.

You have a lot of strange beliefs about things that have nothing to do with a woman who drove an hour to obtain a medication she wanted.

You have a strange ability to twist other peoples words.

A fire breaks out and no firefighters show up. Which firefighter do you sue, and for what?

A fire breaks out and the fighters show up, but refuse to put out the fire. Which firefighter do you sue?

Hint:. Even firefighters can choose whether or not to fight a fire.

Sure, you're absolutely free to adhere to that motto. Just as any other private property owner is free to do whatever they want .. ie, never serve a single customer, if that's their thing.

FTR: There are many many businesses which make very little money because they refuse to accommodate. Clearly they don't need to meet rents or mortgages, and probably just find their little store a pleasant place to while away their days. We've all been into such places.

And they're Emergency Services, subject to specific laws. They are not subject to private property laws.

The private enterprise owner can do whatever the hell she/he wants.

That's not what's going on here. Someone came to a pharmacy and asked for something. The pharmacist didn't tell the customer that she couldn't have an abortion.

I understand why you keep trying to reframe this a not a medical emergency, I don’t believe anyone has said it was a medical emergency — it was an issue of emergency in the fact that there is a limited window of effectiveness. And it is called an emergency contraceptive.

The pharmacist knew that the pills would not cause an abortion, he refused simply to exert his authority.

Thankfully it cost him his job, hopefully it costs the pharmacy far more.

A woman in town had to drive an hour for medication. Let's force everyone to drive an hour for medication.

I don't know that the pharmacist carried it, why would he carry something he will not sell?

I went to buy one of my grandkids a game from Christmas at the local Gamestop. They said they didn't have one but there was one in the next town an hour away. Should I sue?
