After decades of increased political participation by women does it matter anymore how many are elected? Will these elections noticeably shift the direction of the country? Is this more about promoting the Left's agenda?
Women participating in politics more is certainly going to lead to more equal representation, and many women, like Cynthia Nixon, are essentially feminist icons now because they've made feminism a plank of a larger platform, but I completely disagree with people who believe that any given woman having power is automatically better, because a similar percentage of women to men are shitty people (coughGinaHaspelcough). How power is exercised is still far more important than the person exercising it.
Too many women in the government is very bad for men. Men should understand that if they elect women, their rights will be infringed, so they should diligently vote against women.
Moi's voting priorities. 1) Straight, White Man 2) Position on issues. Very hard to find a straight, white man running as a Democrat in the California primary.
