Ok folks, what exactly are we celebrating with the month of March dedicated to Women's History? Advancements in feminine hygiene products? Just asking.

Another opportunity for companies to tout their dedication to "raising social awareness...". That, and somebody figuring out a way to make a few bucks off of it.

Space travel, mathematics, poetry, writing, art, law, music, politics, aviation, science ... pretty much anything males have been celebrated for over the eons with the exception of war.

Oh, and having to give birth to ungrateful children who question a woman's value in society.

Veteran's Day, Father's Day, Elon Musk's Year, Warren Buffett's Decade, Election Day - all days where
mostly white dudes are celebrated. Relax - I have no problem sharing the spotlight after 220 years of domination.

I like it. Not sure why we segregate women to a month instead of celebrating them all the time like men though.

Well to be fair if white men are celebrated it would take longer than a month. You would be basically celebrating modern society and all the advancements.

How much time do we need to celebrate advancements in feminine hygiene products?

If you were a woman, you'd understand that there is nothing to celebrate with respect to feminine hygiene products. They've hardly advanced and the price points are ridiculous.

I prefer to celebrate women's contribution to society as a whole. We owe them that much at least.

It's unfortunate that society had restrained or restricted them early on in our history because we would be much further advanced today than we are.

Women's medicine is more of an awareness campaign that needs to happen.

The narrative that sexists push is that women have done nothing good other than raising children. Women's history month strikes back against that narrative by highlighting the achievements women have made outside the home. It's showing that women have a place in society, that they can have public lives.

Or in other words, exactly why the OP can't figure things out why women need their own history month.

Why so vague? Name these achievements outside the home.

You know, how you can tell that you probably haven’t accomplished that much? You need an artificial holiday or even a whole month forced down everyone’s throat to try and make it seem like you did.

    "Forced" down your throat?
Bless your heart. Life is just so difficult for you, isn't it?

    You talk but say nothing.
Maybe you don’t care about how everyone else in society seems to be getting elevated lately at the expense of denigrating and making villains of white men, but I do.

I’ve done well and maybe you have too, but my concern is for my white sons and future generations. If you want to be blind and ignorant to the organized political and media bias against the white man, so be it. I don’t need you blessing my heart, try saying something smart or constructive.

Let's name the 20th White Man's History Century!....that's better than one lousy month. Satisfied?

Well that is deserving unlike one month for "women's history" which is way too much time.

I can understand objecting to celebrating group history, but I can't see why anyone who doesn't should object to Women's History Month in particular.

That would be 1/1,200 of white man's history and that would be too much? Misogynist much?
