This thread is entitled "The worst President of the last 50 years." Comparisons to other Presidents in that time frame are appropriate.

except for the fact that his approach did increase the rot within the USSR until Ronnie upped the ante and the rot finally collapsed the corrupt, incompetent regime.

Obama is the obvious choice. Spying on the Trump campaign will be the worst thing that happened since the Civil War (Domestically speaking).
Obviously Obama was excluded because he is the worst ever. Reagan was voted the best President ever in a Time Magazine poll and shouldn't be on the list. Also, Trump has much farther to go so also shouldn't be on the list.

Also with regard to Reagan, how does the worst President ever win 49 states?

    Walter Mondale.

But I adore Reagan. In my opinion he is the fourth best U.S. president ever. Behind Washington, Lincoln, and FDR (for his wartime leadership, not the New Deal).

Yeah we all know that legal warranted surveillance is spying. The very worst thing to happen domestically speaking.

Obviously Obama wasn't even remotely close to the worst ever, but I get how affronted many on the right were when he won.

And trump in two years has elevated himself to the top of the list, but then again, I get how skewed the criteria for "american greatness" has allowed trumpettes to believe he is actually recapturing something that was never lost.

I went with Clinton but from what I have heard over the past several months GHW Bush may well have even him beaten in a number of important ways??????

What wars has Trump gotten us in? What world leaders has Trump helped assassinate? Let's wait for your deflections.

Interesting criteria you have for measuring presidential greatness.

He may not have started any new wars, despite sabre rattling like any weak tough guy would. But his "you may not respect me but you better fear me" is effective with the tough guys in trumpland, not so much with the ROW.

Since no world leader has been assassinated lately I guess he's winning bigly in that regard, tied with a couple few dozen other presidents, that is.

By Sabre rattling, you mean he sat down with the leader of NK and tried to negotiate peace, which is something no one else had the balls to do?

Hands down, George W Bush. The invasion of Iraq was a pure blunder and after thousands of deaths and trillions of dollars, we are also worse off strategically.

Everybody who listed any other president is wrong.

Trump-hate does not equal fact. The democrats are still shocked that Trump won and have never accepted the election results. I didn’t vote for Trump and never will but George W Bush was worse. We can fix most of the things Trump has done. The people who died in Iraq are gone.

Well considering his stated meeting with Kim was to avert a war that he himself was threatening AND to denuclearize the NK, his failed attempt looks more like the massive "look at what a world leader I am" ego stroke many people thought it was at the time.

This could have been the '92 Wrap Up Smear
embellished........ but it is kind of depressing.......
because I will be sixty years of age in a few days and
at the time I thought that he was a pretty good President.

On the other hand Saddam Hussein was attempting to get ahold of nuclear weapons.......
Saddam was torturing and threatening Iraqi nuclear physicists and their families.......

... so when the Soviet Union Collapsed the probability of Saddam obtaining a nuclear device from
a Russian scientist or two or three.... went way up.......
so since no USA or Israeli city got nuked during the George W. Bush years.........

... this makes him an arguably pretty good President in my opinion.........

    not to mention.......

he and Prime Minister Stephen Harper May actually have responded brilliantly to Global Warming and the Threat of Rising Ocean Levels....... by NOT decreasing the Global Dimming Effect!!!!?

Did President Bush respond brilliantly to Global Warming?

Why? What terrible things have happened to the US under him?

And I'm sure they will stick with him, he beat Hilary, will Biden be any different?

That's ironic because you got that wrong. Obama is a, "Fine words butter no parsnips" guy. I'm sure in your working life you've met the type of guy that has the patter but they deliver poor/mediocre performance. They sucker and blind you with their crap, you didn't see the 'Feck All' that went on.

That time when he dropped the phone saying, "At least I'll go down as a president", lol. He went down as an utter Richard Head.

Obama a failure? That's FAKE NEWS.

For those of us who live in the world of reality, there's this TRUTH:

Proof that Trump is riding Obama's coat tails.

The American recovery from the financial collapse was sluggish compared to the rest of the world. Indicative of Mr Waffle Obama. He was busy spewing his usual bull rather than knuckling down to the task.

Quite correct, Obama had some amazing accomplishments.

    Gun running!

    Arming Mexican drug cartels!

Getting a Border Patrol agent Murdered.

Weaponizing the U.S. banking system against the Second Amendment rights of law abiding Americans.

Great accomplishments, so great he and his sidekick Holder should be serving life sentences in a federal prison.

Yet ...amazingly....he was elected without accepting the help of a foreign adversary. Unlike the present Putin Approved so called president.
