Would an effective Male contraceptive reduce the rate of abortion?

    Being that the birth control does not empower women, I believe the religious right would support such a method.

    They may even use it!

    Nah! Well at least not officially - it would be like viagra - denounced above the pulpit, standing high below

    But many of the real right zealots are committed to a course of "out producing all them (insert name of religion/race here) people!!"

    Right, because the white people have to breed more than the other people to maintain some right wing fantasy of a static society.

    /questions the intelligence of 65.6% of conservatives.

    It would empower women (except in cases of rape) - a woman could refuse to have sex unless her partner was using birth control - the same is true with condoms.

    Just because the woman wasn't using it herself wouldn't mean she's not empowered.
