Trump tweets that Google ‘manipulated’ votes in the 2016 election and ‘should be sued’ after internal documents leak
    https://www.cnbc.com/2019/08/19/trump-claims-google-manipulated-votes-after-internal-docs-leak.html

"President Donald Trump claimed on Twitter that Google “manipulated” votes in the 2016 election that would have given him an even greater lead over his opponent and that the company “should be sued."
Trump’s tweet appears to refer to documents leaked to conservative group Project Veritas. Zachary Vorhies, who identifies himself online as a former senior software engineer at Google, recently went public with his allegations in a Project Veritas video after initially leaking documents to the group anonymously that purported to show bias in how Google displays search results."
    ................................................................................................................................
So......Google is accused of manipulating votes by way of how they display search results. The Hater-in-Chief is affirmatively asserting votes went to Hillary because of Google that changed the vote count against him.

    But this..................
Russian Influence Reached 126 Million Through Facebook Alone
    https://www.nytimes.com/2017/10/30/technology/facebook-google-russia.html

WASHINGTON — Russian agents intending to sow discord among American citizens disseminated inflammatory posts that reached 126 million users on Facebook, published more than 131,000 messages on Twitter and uploaded over 1,000 videos to Google’s YouTube service, according to copies of prepared remarks from the companies that were obtained by The New York Times.

The detailed disclosures, sent to Congress on Monday by companies whose products are among the most widely used on the internet, came before a series of congressional hearings this week into how third parties used social networks and online services to influence millions of Americans before the 2016 presidential election.

    .........and this from Mueller.........

II. RUSSIAN "ACTIVE MEASURES" SOCIAL MEDIA CAMPAIGN
The first form of Russian election influence came principally from the Internet Research Agency, LLC (IRA), a Russian organization funded by Yevgeniy Viktorovich Prigozhin and companies he controlled, including Concord Management and Consulting LLC and Concord Catering (collectively "Concord").2 The IRA conducted social media operations targeted at large
U.S. audiences with the goal of sowing discord in the U.S. political system.3 These operations constituted "active measures" (aKTMBHbie Meporrprumu1), a term that typically refers to operations conducted by Russian security services aimed at influencing the course of international affairs.4
The IRA and its employees began operations targeting the United States as early as 2014. Using fictitious U.S. personas, IRA employees operated social media accounts and group pages designed to attract U.S. audiences. These groups and accounts, which addressed divisive U.S. political and social issues, falsely claimed to be controlled by U.S. activists. Over time, these social media accounts became a means to reach large U.S. audiences. IRA employees traveled to the United States in mid-2014 on an intelligence-gathering mission to obtain information and photographs for use in their social media posts.

..............according to devotees of his Magnificent and Infallible Leader had absolutely no effect on the outcome of the election. How so prey tell?

Hillary Clinton zings Trump over new voter conspiracy theory

“The debunked study you’re referring to was based on 21 undecided voters. For context that’s about half the number of people associated with your campaign who have been indicted,” she replied in a tweet. Clinton was likely referring to the six operatives with ties to Trump or his campaign who were swept up in former special counsel Robert Mueller’s probe, which ended earlier this year.

For every face book add by the Russians there were a dozen each by Dems and Republicans that's how. They would have almost been entirely swamped by superior numbers. Add too that two of the most singularly polarizing, detested and well known candidates ever, and voila the impact of the Russian add buys on face book approached nil.

It's just fascinating how you folks perform these mental gymnastics devoid of any evidence or data to back up your claims to arrive at what could generously be called a dubious conclusion.

It's becoming common knowledge that google bent over backwards to defeat Trump and common knowledge that they manipulate search results so Trump is absolutely correct in his assertion

    How could they?

You couldn't get 20 GOP Votes in the Senate (for Conviction and Removal) even if Trump killed his wife on Live TV.

The ONLY way for the Dems to get rid of Trump is to Vote him out.

Both campaigns spent millions on social media messaging. It's not a secret, and the conclusion isn't dubious, it's obvious. Google whistleblowers say Google is manipulating search results, politicizing the entire platform. Google is free to do as it chooses, but Google ought to be forced to affix a disclaimer acknowledging it's partisan advocacy.

Yeah ... I admire the way the DNC always places the onus on the people who they're supposed to represent. Only voters can save the (D) House majority from Trump's tyranny! What a freakin' joke.
7 (D) committee chairs are facing primaries ... The "do nothing" (but investigate) 116th congress is about to be taught a lesson for pandering, and it's screwed up sense of priorities. The 2020 DNC platform isn't centered on what the DNC can do for it's voters, but what it will do for illegal immigrants.

Hmm, who has more influence over what Americans think, Google or Russia? This entire mishmash of old and new news is just another "look over there" tactic meant to confuse the issue. "Oh no, it got leaked that Google is planning to manipulate the 2020 election. Let's bring up Russia and 2016 again!"

What Google did or didn't do in 2016 isn't nearly as important as what they are planning to do (what happened, happened, and it's too late to change it), and that's the information the whistleblower brought to light. The rest is a diversion tactic. Information like top Google executive, Jen Gennai, saying "Elizabeth Warren is saying we should break up Google. And like, I love her but she’s very misguided, like that will not make it better it will make it worse, because all these smaller companies who don’t have the same resources that we do will be charged with preventing the next Trump situation, it’s like a small company cannot do that." Google thinking that it's their place to interfere with a US election, that they are above the public and above the law, is the real issue.

So here's my reaction: Trump is going way too easy on them. The people at Google responsible for implementing this policy of election tampering should not be sued; they should be jailed.

He's blinded by the hate....does he remember that it was OBAMA's job to make sure Russians did not interfere? All of this happened under HIS watch...and the DNC and Hills cheated Bernie out of the nomination...and Hills made money off the Russians while Secretary of State and Obama sicced the DOJ on Trump and his campaign. How you could STILL DEFEND these criminals is beyond the pale. It's disgusting.

And Google had nothing to do with Gabbards site being essentially demonetized the night of the debate? It’s truly AMAZING how that just happened the second people started checking her out? Yeah. Someone just flicked a switch accidentally on her site preventing her from receiving vital campaign contributions the EXACT MOMENT she needed them. NO. Nothing fishy there.

Considering Googles unapologetic political slant from its leadership, and the very obvious skewed search results that people have tested, you’d have to be an amazing sucker to think no one is screwing around with things. Yes. It’s just the algorithm, written by humans. No one influences the algorithm at all. They have NO CONTROL over their own code? Ok. Here’s a summer home in the arctic. I’ll sell it for $500k. It’s great breach front property.

I don't think being a Trump supporter or not is relevant to your post, which displays a serious lack of knowledge on the media's effect of people. I don't know if the accusation is accurate but 126 million viewers of Russian propaganda pales and is not in the same continent as the probably 150 million google political searches every damn day by people who expect accuracy from google and mostly laugh at Russian posts.
