Many Christians ask themselves What Would Jesus Do?
Did the Pennsylvania Catholic Priests ask this question?

Would Muhammad chop off the clitoris of young girls?
Seems like a couple of sick cults if you ask me.

Will the government step in to give these righteous and pious moral institutions the justice they deserve?

The Bible never condoned molesting children. In fact it says that it's better that a mill stone hanged on your neck and be drowned in the depths of the sea than to face the punishment for harming children.

"The Bible" and Christianity are two different things. The teachings of Jesus and the Bible are two different things. Christianity and the teachings of Jesus are two different things.

You are conflating the teachings of Jesus with Christianity. The two are not synonymous.

    OP

I'd sodomize anyone who did with a red-hot poker - and I mean it. The sizzling sound would be music to my ears.

Muhammed didn't condone FGM.. It was a common practice in Egypt and Africa.. just like Jesus din't condone slavery.. Both existed.

Yes my point is that Jesus wouldn't do this. These priests are evil and give good Christians/Catholics a bad name. I don't believe in heaven/hell but I hope these priests get what's coming to them while they're here on earth. It seems to be such a widespread problem, they should be demolishing these Catholic Churches when it happens.

Likewise female genital mutilation by Muslims is also one of the many sick things Muslims do. They are barbaric but many people preach tolerance for their behavior and welcome them in America. Obviously not all Muslims do these things but the devout ones seem to.

These atrocities are not compatible with Western values and are not getting the attention they deserve because religious freedom is valued so much. Religious freedom does not allow you to rape kids and mutilate genitals. I see that the Pope condemns it and things carry on as usual every time.

The Jewish Babylonian Talmud sees nothing wrong with it. There are whole essays on it, for both men and women perps.

For a guy who supposedly had a hand in creating the universe he sure was a wimp when it came to improving things.

It also says to kill the kid if he back talks you. It's also OK to sell your daughter to a stranger to pick up a little extra cash.

Religious freedom does allow you to deny medicine to your kid, and let them die while waiting on some hoped for miracle. I'm not sure which is worse.

If a man has a stubborn and rebellious son who will not obey the voice of his father or the voice of his mother, and who, when they have chastened him, will not heed them, then his father and his mother shall take hold of him and bring him out to the elders of his city, to the gate of his city. And they shall say to the elders of his city, “This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious; he will not obey our voice; he is a glutton and a drunkard.” Then all the men of his city shall stone him to death with stones; so you shall put away the evil from among you, and all Israel shall hear and fear. (Deuteronomy 21:18–21

"When a man sells his daughter as a concubine, she is not to leave as the male slaves do.(Exodus 21:7

So you interpret this as God's Commands for us today?

Agreed that assaulting children is sick. OTOH, atheists don't need an excuse nor would they be violating any morals to molest children.

Are you suggesting we abolish the First Amendment? How do you think that would work out?

Everyone who sodomizes or mutilates a child should be punished (with a quick death, imo).

The govt is a crutch. Both of these institutions have a mutual back scratching relationship with governing bodies, and reliance on govt to do anything about it is, at this point, naive. It won't.

We have to appeal to the supporters of these institutions. Referring to them as 'cults' is counterproductive.

I just love it when Christians claim the moral high ground, particularly Catholics that are forgiven for whatever they do. Americans need to wake up. If you get your morals from an imaginary sky man that defies all logic and laws of physics and an ancient fairy tale, you also need to wake up.

More secular countries and states have lower violent crime:

"Those societies today that are the most religious — where faith in God is strong and religious participation is high — tend to have the highest violent crime rates, while those societies in which faith and church attendance are the weakest — the most secular societies — tend to have the lowest."

Which ones are doing that? What are my religious beliefs, in your uninformed opinion?

Why do atheists always act superior then whine that the world owes them something?

So how do you feel about circumcision? Should every parent who has his or her son circumcised be punished?

Just to be clear, are you saying atheists have no moral opposition to molesting children? Is that what you meant?

A better question is "Do atheists have morals?" followed by "If so, where do they get them?" Obviously people aren't born with morals or an innate code. It's just law of the jungle. People can claim atheists derive their morals from society, but since over 90% of society are spiritual, not atheist, that sets up a funny juxtaposition. :)
