Draconian? Sure, against those who stole some water bottles I heard to make examples of. But a lot of the leading arsonists were slapped on the wrist with a velvet glove. Seems these riots established some sort of turf between the streets and the authority. The authority fearing a further retaliation in form of recurrent riots ceded the turf control of much of the streets back to the gangs, but only sent out the message to the public not to follow or join the gang element. So it's a policy of containment of sorts. The authority reasserted control over their turf and the gangs over theirs.

Scores of criminals arrested after the summer riots have been let off with a ‘slap on the wrist’ for offences including arson, knife possession and burglary.


A total of 66 rioters, who admitted committing crimes which in theory carry long prison sentences, were given no more than a caution.


“It’s just what we said would happen at the time,” said Party leader Nick Griffin MEP when asked to comment on the news. “Cameron and Co. promised the toughest possible sentences, and a few (mainly white, middle class) rioters got the tough treatment they deserved, but the moment the public’s back was turned the liberal bleeding hearts in the justice system put the kid gloves back on.


“It sends out completely the wrong message, and the people who’ll pay the price for this Establishment surrender to criminality will be the ordinary, law-abiding folk who have to live in the streets that the political elite have abandoned.


“It’s OK for Cameron, Clegg, Milliband and the rest of them. They have police guards and live in leafy suburbs or flash gated high rise apartments with private security guards. They know nothing of the misery suffered by ordinary people at the hands of the feral criminal underclass that swaggers and bullies as it laughs at the feeble ‘law’.”


Hard drugs, soft treatment


Freedom of Information Act requests have uncovered the fact that in London, 52 offenders have been issued with cautions. They included three for assault, four for possession of Class A drugs and three for criminal damage.


Three criminals were given cautions for handling or receiving stolen goods, and two for obstructing a police officer.


Another three were cautioned for possessing an offensive weapon, nine for theft and two for ‘taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent’.


Just think about it: A caution for stealing a car! Is it any wonder that we all have to pay ever-higher insurance premiums? And a caution for having heroin or crack cocaine! Is it any wonder that Britain is losing the ‘war on drugs’?


The West Midlands Police, have also lost touch with reality, issuing cautions for offences including ‘possession of a blade’ and arson.


Anyone convicted of the offence of possessing a knife is can in theory face a jail sentence of up to four years. Arson attacks can carry a life term.


The long-term impact of such kid gloves treatment has been highlighted by Ministry of Justice figures showing that three-quarters of rioters had previous criminal convictions or cautions.


Of those who had been convicted before, each had committed an average of 11 offences.


“Clearly the present regime of endless cautions and ‘human rights’ filled prisons isn’t working, even though it’s costing taxpayers a fortune,” says Nick Griffin.

“So it’s time to try different tactics: Zero tolerance, which has proven track record in places like Singapore. The availability to magistrates of the birch, which kept the Isle of Man free of petty crime for decades. And the use of electronically tagged chain gangs for prisoners doing hard, useful work, which works well in the parts of the USA where real people have taken back control of the justice system from the liberal elite.


“In Britain today, decent people live in fear of criminals. Civilised life can and will return to the streets of this country when tough sentences bring back the times when it was would-be criminals who lived in fear. That’s all it will take to let decent people breathe easy again and restore the safety and security that are the hallmark of a healthy society.”

To claim more benefits when they reach Britain, human traffickers are coaching young adult asylum seekers to act like children.

It is well known to us in the British National Party that child migrants have access to an enormous range of benefits, which are not available to adults, and this greatly improves the chances of them staying in Britain.

The claim had emerged during a judicial review challenge brought by an asylum seeker from Afghanistan who claimed he was only 16 years old, but is thought to be nearer 20.

With his identity undisclosed due to a court order, he claimed he was 14 when he arrived in the UK in 2009.

After investigations social workers had found that his physical appearance was more akin to an adult and he had who been 'coached' to act younger than his real age.

Incredibly, assisted with legal help, he insisted his adult looks were actually down to his ethnicity and has now taken his case to the High Court and also said that he is entitled to full time education in Britain as he has learning difficulties!

Assessors from Ealing Borough Council interviewed the Afghani after his arrival in the UK and came to the conclusion that he was 'over 18'.

Their report by the council said: 'The social assessors were under the impression that he had been coached and that he was told not to have eye contact with the assessors and not to speak up or demand things from the department.'

His application for asylum was dismissed in May 2010 after the evidence submitted towards to the tribunal was deemed as 'self-serving and rehearsed'. He was due to be deported in November 2010 but as usual his removal from the country has been delayed as lawyers challenged both the age assessment and the Home Office's decision to remove him.

The court heard that youngsters living in the Middle East may develop quicker than those of European stock and Ealing Council’s age assessment overlooked the impact of his ethnicity on his appearance.

It was also claimed that the applicant’s answers in interviews were down to his learning difficulties, and his intelligence was said to be 'in the bottom one per cent of the population'.

The court was then shown a report from a psychologist, which stated: 'If he remains in the UK then his measured level of learning disabilities would entitle him to a full-time education until the age of 25.'

Mrs Justice Lang was shown an Afghan identity document provided to support his age and described it as 'mysterious' as it cites his date of birth as 1374 in the Afghan calendar, translated as being 1995, she later reserved her decision on the case and will now give her ruling at an unspecified later date.
