Would you be able to back it out of the bay when sober, and in the dark, without hitting anything? :)

Yep, all I'd have to do is make sure the brakes are off and the reverse lights are on, because its the little tug driver who pushes it back.

What about when a big hole is blown in the plane mid-flight?

    http://www.smh.com.au/travel/travel...ylinder-remains-a-mystery-20101122-183aj.html

    Damage to Qantas flight QF30
The oxygen bottle's explosion ripped a huge hole in the side of a Qantas Boeing 747.

A midair explosion of an oxygen cylinder that blew the side out of a Qantas jumbo jet also fractured wiring and control cables to the emergency oxygen system, some flight control systems and shrapnel hit an engine, air safety investigators have found.

If it's all the same to you, I'll have an experienced Qantas pilot flying the plane I'm on. :)

If it's all the same to you, I'll have an experienced Singapore Airlines pilot flying the plane I'm on.

After being a Qantas customer for years, locked in with the Qantas Club and Frequent Flier points etc - they have now lost me. I flew to London a few weeks ago and the service is getting more and more crap - there really is no need to stay with them. I guess that idiot CEO has won - he has destroyed the airline for Australian customers.

Hello Singapore/Virgin/AirNZ - better start stocking a few more bottles of rum in your departure lounges.

You know why they never found what caused the tank to explode - what nobody told you is that was probably a failed terrorist attack on the Pope, who'd flown in that exact aircraft a few days before. I wonder if they questioned muslim QANTAS aircraft mechanics with access to the aircraft prior!!!

I'd be worried if QANTAS decides to have only one pilot on the deck, until then I reckon I'd make a good (cheap) copilot.

This is your response to my quaetion of : "Can you show us the mathematics that support your claim that this stopage costs Qantas less than paying a few redundants?"

You haven`t got anything have you.
