Xenforo Software - Troubleshooting and Questions

I do not have the software to obscure the image of my face in that video.

I mean... not that there is such a video! There isn't! I swear!

I'm just saying, ya know... if there was, I do not have the software to....

Mmmm... OK... hadn't thoughgt of that.... but definitely noted, and bookmarked. It just generally fits with my whole dissatisfaction with the skin and the color schemes. Don't like it. Needs work.

Should be somewhat fixed now, and more completely fixed later as we try to find a skin and color scheme more in line with the old look - which, IMO, was very comfortable and easy on the eyes. I always liked it, but probably didn't fully realize how good it was until we lost it. It really rocked, and fit right into the "easy on the eyes" sweetspot. Unless a lot of people rise up on their hind legs over the next day or two and complain about the old color scheme, I would like to move back toward that. The old look had a warm, approachable feel, whereas something about this seems so sharply-defined and clinical. I'm instinctively inclined to want to soften it up and make it a little more comfortable, if possible. this just seems so stark, and cold.

But if people disagree, please let us know. We recognize that we have already forced a lot of change on people, and I want to make sure that the tweaks and adjustments are a comfortable fit for the majority of our users. On things where we can afford to take a few days to be sure, we would rather take those few days. What's the hurry? Members are the ones who should call this particular shot. i just think that it can be a lot better and more comfortable than this.

 

I need to be sure I understand that, because it may be an issue. New posts not arranged in chronological order where? Can you tell me where you are viewing these posts that are not appearing in chronological order?

If you mean in the forum display itself, i would suggest you start with looking at the bottom of the display... do you see where it says "thread display options"? If you click on that, do you see options that solve that problem? If not, please let me know.

As for the italicizing of the quoted text - if I understand you correctly - that's standard in almost any message board when it comes to quotes. There's no turning that off. I'm embarrassed to admit that I don't remember this exactly, but I almost positive that the old board did the same. Can anyone help me out on that one?:

 

OK, that just earned a spot on the list. It doesn't fit the known parameters. We need to look at that, because I think it's going to have a cumulative annoying effect on a lot of members.

 

Ah, shoot. Not sure. So sorry... jeez... I've been up pretty much straightg through since early Saturday morning except for a couple of naps on Sunday, and was just going to go to bed. I am sorry, but I will hit that as soon as I wake up. If you could PM me the name of the member, I will see what the problem was. That one was toitally out of the blue; thought we were past that kind of an issue. But Io promise we will fix it...

We have to change the skin and the color scheme. I hate it too. Feels liek bleach on my eyeballs. I can live with the blue, but the pinkish whatever wears out its welcome. Sorry. Definitely not a permament condition.
