When a media outlet uses anonymous sources, they are putting their own credibility on the line. They are saying "we know and trust this source."

You are free to disbelieve them. But it's more credible than some random dude on the Internet making a claim.

The source alleges that the permanent back channel “was never discussed”. What really happened was the proposal of a one-off call about Syria.

During the meeting the Russians broached the idea of using a secure line between the Trump administration and Russia, not Kushner, a source familiar with the matter told Fox News. That follows a recent report from The Washington Post alleging that Kushner wanted to develop a secure, private line with Russia.

The idea of a permanent back channel was never discussed, according to the source. Instead, only a one-off for a call about Syria was raised in the conversation.

That's NOT what Comey said. Listen to the line of questioning.. Comey said that in his experience no FBI investigation had been quashed by pressure from above. He was plainly saying that Investigations could not be called off by Trump, not that Trump hadn't asked him and tried.

 

Fox News has it wrong.. Kushner and Flynn made the request Dec 2.. The Russian ambassador communicated the shocking request to Moscow which was picked up by our intelligence at the time.. Months later the Russian amb revealed the Kushner/Flynn request to the press.
