The "Deep State" is composed of people who refuse to put Donald Trump's interest before their country. They even place the country before their own personal interest. Patriots like the two anonymous whistleblowers who had their life threatened by the President. Like Mary Yovanovitch, who is willing to defy the President's illegal order. Or Fiona Hill, who risked her career as a diplomat to put Trump's illegal acts on record. We have yet to hear from others who have refused to play the President's criminal games, like McGahn who was pressured to fire Mueller.

The "Deep State" is composed mostly of mid-level government employees who are making sure that Trump's crimes don't remain unpunished. We know of only a handful now, but we can be damn sure that there will be more.

Without the "Deep State" it's possible that Trump might have gotten away with his crimes. That seems very unlikely now. So we should all be thankful for the "Deep State"! It has been proven indispensable to maintain a Democracy. And we must make sure that future administrations don't undermine it, but actually strengthen it.

The way you describe "Deep State" I would call it "Guardian State" or Guardian Knights as in the Knights Templar. Or even Protector State.

Guardians of the Constitution, Guardians - Knights of the Constitution...

    This is the deep State:
THE CONSTITUTION OF THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA
    https://www.govinfo.gov/content/pkg/GPO-CONAN-1992/pdf/GPO-CONAN-1992-6.pdf

..and all who have sworn to protect the Constitution [not the flag, not the President, not apple pie or football] with their life, from all enemies foreign and domestic, and all who have sincerely pledged to these principles and understood what they meant.

Falsehood shames Clapper, Brennan and pledge to protect whistleblowers

    https://www.google.com/amp/s/thehill.com/opinion/white-house/414737-falsehood-shames-clapper-brennan-and-pledge-to-protect-whistleblowers?amp

In the summer of 2014, then-Director of National Intelligence James Clapper sent a letter assuring Sens. Charles Grassley (R-Iowa) and Ron Wyden (D-Ore.) that enhanced monitoring of Intelligence Community workers was designed to find leakers and insider threats, and was not intended to thwart lawful whistleblowing.

Specifically, America's top spy told the two senators that if any protected whistleblowing was intercepted by the Obama administration's new monitoring, it wouldn't be used to tip off spy agency leaders.

"In the event a protected disclosure from a whistleblower somehow comes to the attention of personnel responsible for monitoring user activity, there is no intention for such disclosure to be reported to agency leadership under an insider threat program," Clapper declared in his July 25, 2014, letter.

Clapper even cc'd then-CIA Director John Brennan on his letter, an apparent heads-up to America's most famous spy shop, the Central Intelligence Agency.

It turns out that entire pledge was false and disingenuous. And it took us four years and a new presidential administration to get the truth.

Just four months before Clapper penned that letter, the CIA intercepted one or more whistleblowers' disclosures, legally submitted and intended to go to Congress through the Intelligence Community's official whistleblowing office.

Good. Then Brennan and Crapper will surely give full complete and truthful answers:

Inspector General Horowitz is set to release his report on FISA Court abuses this coming week
    .

Attorney General Bill Barr and US Prosecutor John Durham are expanding their investigation on the origin of the Russia-collusion hoax.

AG Barr expands controversial review into origin of Russia investigation
U.S. Attorney John Durham has expressed his intent to interview a number of current and former intelligence officials, including ex-CIA Director John Brennan.

    nbcnews.com
Durham wants to talk to CIA analysts involved in the intelligence assessment of Russia’s activities, prompting some of them to hire lawyers. There is tension between the CIA and the Justice Department over what classified documents Durham can examine.

Narrator's Voice: He can examine every classified document he wishes to examine.

Durham's questions of foreign officials track closely with the questions raised about the Russia investigation concerning the trick plays run by the IC, in coordination with foreign intelligence assets on George Papadopoulos.

Absolutely! Because the Deep State is composed of patriots who risk their own careers to defend the Constitution. That is their only guide.

I don't care who is President, whistleblowers, and those who refuse to follow their unlawful orders should be regarded as heroes. We owe a lot to them.

Right... except we are forever in debt because of it. They are the government bureaucrats who have plunged the country into enormous debt, it's on their watch that the gap between the rich and the rest have skyrocketed, they have been selling the country wholesale and retail, they have started endless wars, they are fully owned by lobbyists and special interests, they have made enormous fortunes while sending good American jobs to China and Mexico, they keep the borders de-facto open and immigration laws unenforced...
    .
Oh... and of course these are the same scum who think they know better, who are convinced laws and election results don't apply to them, who believe they have veto power on election results that may upset the status quo that has been driving this country closer and closer to the cliff
