http://www.smh.com.au/opinion/polit...ott-and-rudd-more-popular-20130217-2elb7.html And those hits just keep one coming!!!! Despite what the resident alp trolls would have us believe it would seem Gillard is not doing so well. The alp has failed the people and Abbott is now the preferred pm. Oh my....I just cant seem to look away from this slow motion train wreck!
This arrogant government has failed in so many ways. The way they speak to people, they seem to think that the entire population consists of nothing more than brain dead sheep. Julia Gillard exudes that self satisfied arrogance that turns people, particularly men, right off. Chances are that Abbott will be the next PM. I hope he gets the message, that although Aussies are for the most part, easy going, there is a limit to the amount of abuse we will put up with.
When a Labor politician says they have no asperations to become the great leader, that is a good indication they are working hard towards just that goal. Don't be surprised if Kevy manages to dump Juliar and take the top job again. Labor knows Juliar is unelectable.
The unions are going into hate overdrive now...oh well at least we know the red headed (*)(*)(*)(*)(*) will be gone
Yep they are already talking about bringing Rudd back....but in the end what an awesome day it will be when we never have to hear that pathalogical lying slime ball Gillard....urrrgh just the way she looks at people and into the tv cameras and so blatantly lie to our faces was so infuriating. Isn't pathalogical lying one of the first traits of a psychopath? good riddance to that cow.
I have noticed in the last few weeks that the ALP trolls and leftards have been going nuts trying to scream down any contra views... It aint going to help them, Tony Abbott WILL be your next PM
Just ridiculing politicians, particularly those who increase our debt to the equivalent of Greece....
Calling her Juliar is childish and shows more about you than her. I doubt Rudd will retake the leadership, the spill wasn't over public support (he was relatively popular), it was over his lack of support among unions and the party establishment. That hasn't changed. Additionally, Labor's popularity is lower than Gillard's, so there are obviously some party image issues here, it's not all Gillard. She seems to be a pretty standard PM - her policies haven't been outrageous or anything. Most of the Gillard hating I see is due to her typical politician personality and whiny voice - not policy. This said, I'm by no stretch of the imagination a supporter of Gillard or the ALP. I'll probably be voting Liberal in the Assembly in my state election next month (my only other choices are the ALP, Greens and the Australian Christians zzz). What disappoints me is that Labor has an image problem at the moment, not a policy one - when there's so much more to critique than the mostly political carbon tax.
I don'tt think it is an image problem, moreso an identity issue. They are unsure about their direction. They are caught between their old archaic union working man direction and their new clean green metropolitical thinking man direction. Problem is, they are far from being a neat fit. Imo this is the core of labors issues...... Their identity crisis.
But none of this matters to the common man, they vote based on impressions. Julia leaves a horrible impression: like that better-than-you teacher's pet from high school. People vote based on this sorta stuff. As far as the Labor party at large goes - I think most Australians are to the right of the ALP on economics and see its policies as radical. I don't disagree, just saying most people probably don't think like that
that is why we are all in here knocking heads, because most people don't think at all, let alone about deeper politics. Lol.
An image problem? Yeh they've got that all right but they also have a policy problem, a cretibility problem,an ideaological problem and a problem of spending money they haven't got. Another problem I think a lot of Australians see is in the way Labor relentlessly plays gutter level personality politics. This approach was a big factor in the near total wipe-out of Labor in Queensland. I guess they failed to learn their lesson because Gillard and compnay can't open their mouths without speaking Tony Abbots name and making some derogatory comment. They played this game against John Howard and lost time and time again. Labor can't seem to get it into their heads that we don't vote for a 'leader'. Conservative voters don't have the 'Great Leader' mentality that Labor voters seem to have.
