Are you in some way an amnesiac?

How many times have we discussed RU-486. a SELF-administred abortifacient? or the "morning after" drug regimen???

    What's your answer on those?

BTW, others, the ANGER you see from churchmouse is not so much directed at the current reality of abortion or those of us who are pro-choice....

but at the subject of this thread and HER OWN realization that she is fighting a fight she cannot win, despite all the promises and "echo chamber" talk she gets from "pro-life" leaders and activists telling her "We're making progress every day!"

They're not. We're almost at TWO generations of Roe....and there's not a single poll they can find that show a majority of Americans want it overturned or want a TOTAL ban on abortion. Not one. "Restrictions"..."parential notification"..."No tax dollars"...sure, but NOTHING to support their radical agenda of a national abortion criminalization or even overturning Roe.

If pro-life means giving potential children--developing tissue--precedence over existing women's rights, then no, I am not.

No human has a right to life inside of, and at the expense of another.

    Potential children. Developing tissue.

That isn't true, there is a huge trail of blood in Latin America where abortions are heavily restricted. Abortion rates and maternal deaths rates are very high. If abortion kills a life, then more lives are lost where abortion is illegal.

Legal abortion is simply necessary. Ideally, women would have affordable access to contraception, and abortion rates would be greatly reduced. Strangely enough "pro-lifers" are seemingly not interested in the one proven way to reduce abortion rates.

If you were truly pro-life, you would care
    .

It's what you want to believe, but multiple studies and empirical evidence show otherwise. There is no correlation between criminalized abortion and abortion rate.

Yep I'm here, do you know why, because my mother made a CHOICE to have me, if she had made a different choice then no amount of shrieking from you would make the slightest difference to me, I wouldn't be here.

"and yet you help paint a big red bullseye on every woman...that is what the pro-life/anti-woman position does"

Why do you cheer for the morally wrong side of this issue? Almost as if you're giddy to watch children die?

I'm cheering the continual loss of those who want to control women. The fact their desire to criminalize personal reproductive choices....fails, has failed, and will continue to fail.

Temperance folks in the pre-1920s thought THEY were on the "morally right" side too. Yet, pretty sure you've drunk a brew or even a shot of hard liquor.....so by THEIR standard....YOU are immoral.

Churchmouse, youre ignoring what the OP said about how hard it would be for women, especially pregnant women, but even other women, to leave to another country, as well as the berlin wall arguement. I am pro life but I agree with what he said.
