@DennisTate, what goes through your head when you take to watching other people's prophecies and warnings? And you take them to heart? I used to watch prophesy shows on TV when I was a kid, and they predicted many terrible things, and we were nearing the end of the world by 2000. Of course, none of them came true. I even knew at some level that those prophecies didn't make logical sense. So, I don't think we are nearing the end of the world. At least I hope not. I'm in it for the long term.
What is going through my head is that all of the seemingly conflicting information..... actually all fits together perfectly! They said to buy gold and silver. That was my tip-off that I can't take them seriously. The system never really comes crashing to an end that a self-investor would benefit. Sure the price of gold goes up (I don't know about silver) but so does the amount you would have to pay in taxes when selling them.

Tammy Faye Bakker was a hell of a fundraiser was she not? She could sell the gold fillings out of her grandma's mouth and get top dollar for them.
All that I know is that the fact that silver is relevant to certain aspects of laser technology could be a major reason for it to surge in value... but I personally lean toward real estate in rural America as being a superior investment over either gold or silver for many reasons......... not the least of which is the sense of "community" that I have here in rural Nova Scotia, Canada after living here for most of my sixty one years.

I'm Orthodox and some of our prophecies go back more than a thousand years. In the past 50 to 60 years in Greece, there have been a lot of ascetic Saints who live on prayers and fasting. They know everything. When Saint Paisius began interpreting the 18th century prophecies of Saint Cosmas, as well as saying a few things of his own, he was reprimanded by another Saint. He was told that he too knows everything that's going to happen but he doesn't say it. Saint Paisius realized he was right when he found out he was being misquoted. Eventually a collection was made of everything he did say and a well known Greek bishop talks about his prophecies as well as the prophecies of other Saints - some who still live and prefer to remain anonymous. It does require discernment though, because there are a lot of fakers out there and Satan can be very deceptive. The bishop said that the purpose of prophecies is for people to repent so they won't come true, or that the difficulties will not be as severe. I think though with Greece it's not only to warn them that they will have a large earthquake and they will be attacked, but also to give them hope. He said they will not be in the World War, but nukes will fall in the neighboring countries. As for us, well our biological sins are disrupting the natural order, and there will be geological upheavals. Our inhumanity towards other nations has become an inhumanity towards one another, so the infighting will probably increase - and we will be in the World War. Not in the first part of the war, that will be a European affair. Anyway one of the signs of the upcoming war is Erdogan will fall, and Israel will bomb Iran's nuclear facilities.
