Mine is a Papillon. Male, named Jacques. I bought him for agility training but need to retire before I will have time for serious training. Fast and smart. Has way too much energy. I don't think he ever goes deeply to sleep.
My stepdaughter has this thing that looks like a cross between a dalmation and pitbull. Hes barely still a puppy. Hes happy and friendly and eager to please, but hes just too dumb and has too much clumsy energy to really be a 'good dog.' Maybe he'll grow into one, but so far hes a serious pita without even trying to be.
