Looks like the Zombie Apocalypse has arrived, but in a place I'm sure most of us would WANT them to hit, Westboro Baptist Church! http://news.yahoo.com/blogs/sidesho...boro-baptist-church-protestors-204613653.html Now, I'm sure some of you are wondering why a bunch of Zombies would be around Westboro since they have an appetite for brains, and you might think the membership there doesn't have any. But those guys do indeed have the type of brains Zombies would want - unused ones. In all seriousness, I myself am a Christian although I screw up often. But these guys: Every time I hear about them in the news, I just cringe.
Awesome. You know, I'm beginning to wonder if Westboro isn't useful. They seem to be the only thing in American politics that is able to unite both sides. NOBODY likes these people. They seem to be the one thing that conservatives and liberals can agree on.
Probably the best counter WBBC protest I have seen. Though the most effective was a large group of bongo playing hippies who out chanted and sang the Westboro hate group. The literally surrounded them and blocked them from the publics view. Only took a few minutes for the cult members to scramble away and give up the day. There's a video of it somewhere on youtube.

You & me both ... not only the military funerals, but will never forget them protesting the Amish girls funerals. Remember that godawful incident a couple yrs ago when a madman broke into the Amish schoolhouse and cold-bloodedly shot 5-6 girls in the backs, ages 6 to around 13? Those depraved maggots crawled to that funeral and one of their signs said "Your daughter was a slut"..... One of these days someone is going to plant a bomb under their church when it's full of people.......

Westboro Church actions are bigotted, hateful and about as unchristian as I can think of. I think the leader of the Westboro Church is as demented as Jim Jones but they want everyone else to drink the Kool Aid. Like another poster said- the only useful thing about the Westboro Church is that it is one thing that everyone can agree is wrong- in so many ways.

Quite awhile ago, I started reading on the net "Addicted to Hate" - story of Phelps, father of 12-13 kids, IIRC. It's a real horror story. When they became of age, 2 sons left home and never went back. They said he'd beat them so bad, they'd pass out and their mother wasn't there for them and he'd beat her also. One of these days I'll finish reading it.......

Westboro Baptist Church is more like a real life version of 4chan or internet trolls than an actual religious group.
I think a great method of stopping them would be a tape of fred phelps in a gay orgy. That, or a tape of him being tortured to death over a period of a week.
