Yep..as A Unpaid Romney guy..I would LOVE to get the Paul endorsement and at least 1 or 200,000 of his legion on board..'Romney isn't the perfect guy..but he doesn't dismiss you out of hand.. And if He needs to have a Paul on board..I can live with that.. My Daughter lives in La. Grange Ky. The younger Paul will be a force..
My Goodness spoken like someone would on the payroll of Mao Tse-tung. How dare anyone so lowly question the great mind of Pops Pauls. This is another example why Paul should never be taken seriously. Because he is building a following, not much different than say Michael Jackson.Instead of singing,Pauls drools his BAD ideas.
No ... He's THE Only Republican candidate who is Both NOT a Republican AND advocates slashing Defense.Yes,defense means soldiers jobs and the Military Industrial Complex.
Romney Paul more... These other guys are haters ... I'll gladly let Paul go after the FED..Think of the dirt he'll dig up..
What does Paul advance as replacing the Fed.Because I've studied the Fed and Alan Greenspan.W/O any Fed how are banks and the market going to regulate Rates. They can't.Even to suggest they can is Idiocy. There has to be a fair and impartial arbitor of authority for determing Rates { Prime and Overnight Loans }. That is what The Fed's purpose is.To set the Overnight Discount rate for member banks thereby establishing rates for Prime interest and subsequent Mortage. Yes,the Fed should be limited in it's possible tinkering with authority on printing money, the duty of our Treasury. But the Fed is not the immediate problem. It's the authority for printing money at a whim.If Ben Bernacke is SO out of control as is our Attorney General,Eric Holder than one need ask who is their Boss. Guess Who Folks
Paul is trying to win the election, but if he cannot he is trying to influence the party. That may very well mean that Rand gets the VP spot. That is politics at its finest and I have no problem with that IF Paul cannot gain enouph delegates to be the number one himself.
Here's Ron Paul's response on these rumors. http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=TrmirPEc6QA
You're spouting nonsense. Just give up on trying to understand free markets. Vote for your collectivist, and smile.
Its actually about the only strategy that MIGHT bridge the gap and make the presidential race at best a close call for Obama instead of a blow out for Obama. Think about it. Right now there are 4 sets of voters that you have to win for the Republicans to beat Obama in an election. 1. The right wing base - who right now supports Santorum and to a lesser extent Ginrich. It doesn't matter what they say about Romney right now, not one of them will vote for Obama, so if Mitt's the candidate, he'll have their vote. 2. The right wing Libertarian - This group wants Paul to be the guy, but they would also be likely to vote for Obama over Santorum or Ginrich. However, If Mitt picks Rand or Ron, that's a large swath of what would otherwise be an uninspired voter. 3. The moderate to left wing Libertarian - Again, Paul has the advantage with these guys, and they would definitely vote for Obama over Mitt, Santorum or Gingrich. The only way for someone like Mitt to swing these votes away from Obama would be to get a Paul on the ticket. In any other situation, this is 3-4% of the voting population that will be Obama's. That's a critical swing. 4. The independants - Again, neither Santorum nor Ginrich can sway Independants this year, as their unfavorability with them right now will keep them from getting any support. I'd actually think that in this category, Obama, Paul or Romney have the potential to swing some of this bloc their way based on debates, VP picks and policy promises. Paul AND Romney on the same team very well could sway this most critical group to the right, and THIS group will decide the election, as always. Regardless of whether the base of the GOP likes Paul or Romney, those two on the ticket pulls the largest cross section of non-base Republicans and independants. If the right wants to stand on pride and ideology, then go ahead with Santorum and watch him collect 40% of the electorate on his way to getting blown out.
TRUE Conservatives and tea party voters will not vote for Romney OR Paul. They will vote for Newt, even if they have to hold their nose because of some perceived stink. Tea party voters may have some issues starting to cause concern with Santorum. Newt was first to rise and fall and now soon, will be about right for the next Newt tide. Just in time to pull off a win hopefully.
He was drafted into the Army, pulled strings to get into the Air Force and serve as a surgeon - which "just happened" to result in him getting a whole lot of medical education bills paid for. Yeah, a real servant...
He didn't pull strings, he decided to be commissioned as an officer in the Air Force instead of being drafted into the Army. If he didn't decide to be commissioned, he would have been drafted.
The Ron Paul Zealots need to be more honest about their hero. Of course, that need goes top to bottom. Ron Paul is a dishonest, sniveling little tail biter.
So point out where I was wrong instead of relying on ad hominem attacks. What part was dishonest? Give me a source that says Paul "pulled strings" to get into the Air Force. You don't have one, I'm guessing, because you just made it up.
Ron Paul claims to have been drafted into the Air Force, when in truth, the Air Force has never had a draft. Ron Paul's disciples tout him as some sort of military hero, when in truth, he managed to get himself into a position where he'd do very little but get a bunch of college bills paid. Yeah, he's a real military hero...
I dont' know how "true" conservatives can handle the moral compass of Newt in the White House. I mean, the man is the worst combination of Bill Clinton and John Edwards morally. If he were the party rep, the right would never again be considered the party of morality, not that they are right now anyway.
Paul had his M.D. BEFORE he was drafted. He decided to join the Air Force as a flight surgeon. Do you REALLY want a guy with an M.D. as frontline infantry? It was part of his options... He was drafted and upheld it by joining the Air Force. Why didn't he join the Air Force before his education if his evil plan was to have the government pay for everything? Lol..... And why did he not accept Medicaid or Medicare payments? And why didn't he participate in the congress pension plan? I forgot, Paul's ultimate plan was to leach off the government and make millions of dollars like Gingrich and Santorum did.
Was Ron Paul a practicing physician before being in the Air Force? Yes, or No? Be careful. Do a little research before you answer that.
So the TRUTH is that he was NOT a practicing physician before entering the military. He had not finished the requirements. He got his education paid for, and got out before VietName even started. Ron Paul is NOT the military hero all you zealots think he is.
