    Paul by his news letters is a confirmed racist. More than a few Tea Party leaders are confirmed racist. Anymore questions?

    Ron Paul is very popular here in Austin. Not as popular as Obama, but I'd say he's a solid number 2. The Tea Party started off with his campaign rallies in 2008 it wasn't until later when it began to pick up steam that it was co opted by the Republican party. So I wouldn't say it's a big surprise he is getting support from that movement.

    Would a racist be pushing for ending the war on drugs?

    Would a racist talk about the inequality of the drug war and minorities being in jail?

    Would a racist promise to release and pardon all non-violent drug offenders?

    Paul supporters are a bit zealous, but not racists...usually people that call others racists are racist themselves.

    helping a bi-racial family during the early 1970s by delivering their baby when no other Drs would is a very telling story. I seriously doubt a racist would have done that.

    but whatever...you can believe whatever you want. It's still a free country.

    Calling people racists every 5 seconds is getting old. Here is the thing...everyone alive is a racist. There is one person who wasn't a racist, but he is long gone. The rest of us have our failings and we to a person feel our race is a notch up from others. You may not realize it, but you do. There have been empirical studies done by the department of education on the subject because they are trying to combat it...the simple answer is not to combat it but to embrace it...isn't that what we should do? Embrace diversity?

    I am not going to argue that again with you. Go look it up for yourself. This thread is about the surprise of the Tea Party Express suddenly showing support for Ron Paul.

    Well I think the governments job is to represent, and support the interests of the general public from whom their powers are derived through lawful election, and that the actions of the government in pursuit of the public interest are to be established as constitutional or not by the Judiciary as provided in the constitution.
