    Negative.

I am more sure of that than I am of anything.

No not inside my head. And the sensation was not of this world.

    He is all knowing.

    No.

    How can you be sure?

So where was it coming from?

That makes no sense. It has to be of this world for you to comprehend its existence. So again I ask, what was the nature of this 'presence'?

    How do you know that?

    Why not?

I don't know what this has to do with Islam but I floated out of my body once. Took a little trip around the ceiling of my room, hadn't even taken anything either. Very strange, didn't put it down to anything in particular, just a weird experience. The point is, the mind does all sorts of things. Including decoding all we see to appear as we experience it... doesn't mean it is that way.

I had a bit of an 'outer-body' experience once, but it was probably the result of 3 days without sleep.

Exactly, whereas lots of people would call that spiritual. Same thing with drugs, I think it's good for the most part, we should alter our states of mind it puts a different spin on things.

Its like ghosts. No evidence they exist, but a lot of people believe in them. People keep saiyng they see shadows walking around - its nothing but tired individuals mistaking a flashing light, a cat or even nothing for supernatural activity. The scary thing about people like RiseAgainst is that they are totally stuck in their own world - nothing can ever convince them they are wrong. They are the scariest kind of people.

Dr. al-Buti “The Jurisprudence of Muhammad’s Biography”

    (p. 287) "It may be said, 'What is the value of a faith in Islam which is a result of a threat? Abu Sufyan, one moment ago, was not a believer, then he believed after he was threatened by death.' We say to those who question: 'What is required of an infidel or the one who confuses other gods with God, is to have his tongue surrender to the religion of God and to subdue himself to the prophethood of Muhammad. But his heartfelt faith is not required at the beginning. It will come later."'

[2.193] And fight with them until there is no persecution, and religion should be only for Allah...

[9.5] So when the sacred months have passed away, then slay the idolaters wherever you find them, and take them captives and besiege them and lie in wait for them in every ambush, then if they repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate, leave their way free to them; surely Allah is Forgiving, Merciful.

[9.29] Fight those who do not believe in Allah, nor in the latter day, nor do they prohibit what Allah and His Apostle have prohibited, nor follow the religion of truth, out of those who have been given the Book, until they pay the tax in acknowledgment of superiority and they are in a state of subjection.

[9.123] O you who believe! fight those of the unbelievers who are near to you and let them find in you hardness; and know that Allah is with those who guard (against evil).

Just one guys opinion among many many others.

Your point here? The Bible says much worse stuff - only the Torah advocates genocide.

"And of mankind are some who say, 'We believe in Allah and the Last Day,' when they believe not. They think to beguile Allah and those who believe, and they beguile none save themselves, but they perceive not. In their hearts is a disease, and Allah increases their disease. A painful doom is theirs because they lie" (al- Baqarah: 8-10).

I stand by what I have said.

Has nothing like it. If it had, you would have simply quoted it.

Galatians 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Christianity is all "love your neighbor", "turn the other cheek" and do unto others as you would have them do unto you. While Islam is all about "fight", "kill" "slay" and "smite the necks" of the unbelievers until religion is only for allah.

    Pretty much polar opposites.

Matthew 22:36"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?" 37Jesus replied: " 'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.'38This is the first and greatest commandment. 39And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' 40All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments."

Volume 1, Book 2, Number 26: Narrated Abu Huraira:
Allah's Apostle was asked, "What is the best deed?" He replied, "To believe in Allah and His Apostle (Muhammad). The questioner then asked, "What is the next (in goodness)? He replied, "To participate in Jihad (religious fighting) in Allah's Cause."

Well, yeah, but thats in the afterlife. In this life they get to keep their head attached if they "repent and keep up prayer and pay the poor-rate". I suspect most conversions of the time were nothing more than claims of belief to spare ones life.

Ohh yes it does, and more, way more.

No, I would not have because I better things to do. But since you ask, you can read them yourself:
    http://www.evilbible.com/Murder.htm
There's also stuff on rape, slavery, and everybody's favourite - ritual human sacrifice.

Your childish idiocy is most amusing. Not anywhere near convincing. The Bible and Quran are practically twins in many respects.

Violent stories of the past, without the commandments to fight, kill, slay and smite the necks of the unbelievers in the future. A story about God raining down fire and brimstone on the sinners in the past, isnt a commandment for others to do the same in the future. The direction in the koran to the belivers is stated to apply UNTIL religion is only for allah.

Oh no they are present as well. Stories of the past were more succinct, ie "kill the entirety of the people of city X or village Y and sell their woman and children into slavery or sexual servitude as you see fit." You realize Islamic laws that use stoning are directly taken from the Bible? The Quran never mentions the practice.

It is if the current prophet (which to Christians is Jesus) says to uphold these old teachings of killing unbelievers, idolaters etc etc. Its also why early CHristians kept Mosaic texts instead of getting rid of them as a few Christian thinkers at the time thought should be done.

No it is stated until their is no oppression of Muslims. Remember a Muslim must be a Muslim be conviction, not by force. This is repeatedly stated.

Right, he commanded them, they followed the command, end of story. city X and Y dont even exist. While god told them to fight against certain people in a certain time, muslims are commanded to fight the unbelievers UNTIL religion is only for allah. Religion is not yet only for allah so many believers today continue to fight them until religion becomes, only for allah

And did you notice it is only the muslims who continue to stone people today. Its the difference between stories from the past as opposed to Islams commandments for muslims to follow in the future. Within 80 years of Muhammads death the believers were carrying out those comandments, waging jihad against Spain in the west and Afghanistan in the east.

Yeah because the Jews wiped them out, apparently.

    No they are not.

They are as deluded as you are in doing so.

So you deny that Mosaic law commands people to stone others? Oh, but yes Christians didnt stone very often, more into burning people - they do still do that in parts of Africa.

Sure mate, you keep telling yourself that.

Do my quotes of Islamic scripture convey a hate of Islam? Says more about the content of those passages and YOUR perception of them, and nothing about me and my views. The lady doth protest too much, me thinks.

No, there is nothing wrong with the verses. Only "your" understanding of them is wrong. And I say "your" because these views of the Quran and Islam are not your own, from reading the Quran yourself and looking for legitimate tafseers for what you don't understand. They are recycled nonsense from Islamic hate websites.

It would be like learning about Judaism from a Nazi, or African American culture and history from a KKK member. However I would like to assume that is common sense for most people NOT to do. It hard to take those who do seriously.

This thread was not made for your trolling because you are incapable of comprehending context within the Quran. When you close the Religion Of Peace window on your internet browser and begin searching for actual tafseers on Quranic verses, then maybe you will be mature enough for us to have a meaningful conversation about a religion you know nothing about.

So, vent off all your misdirected, misunderstood and often times manipulated anger towards Islam in the appropriate thread. Please, and thank you.

    I said please, after all.

    ;)

    Salam

So if you do not believe what the Qur'an says then you do not have the will or desire to do so. That makes sense as it makes it much easier to ignore that which is inconvenient doesn't it or at least it makes it easy to redefine what the Qur'an says.

That means that if you do not believe apostates should be put to death, then you are not really a true believer but just another religious charlatan.

Odd claim. I can assure you they are mine. Thats why youve never seen me duplicate anything here from an Islamic website. And my understanding of the verses is based upon a literal interpretation of the verses. Like the Islamic fundamentalist use.

And notice how you havent yet even got around to disputing anything specific Ive said.

Too many coincidences for me to deny. Then again I sincerely asked to know the truth and you just mocked God. He will not entertain you, he will let you live in darkness.

    The infinite source.

The sensation was out of this world, and I only was permitted to experience a small percentage of it.

He guides my life for the better. The coincidences are too much for me to believe just that.

    I have faith.

    Why would it?
