What Obama really said was, "When we succeed, we succeed because of our individual initiative to pay high income taxes to the goverment."

Obama sincerely believes the "government" is the "be-all" and the "end-all" of everyone's success!

 

Obama is so stupid he doesn't realize that private contractors built these roads.

All the government did was collect taxes to pay these contractors who built the roads and made it happen.

 

Romney knows he is ahead. He's saving his money and keeping his powder dry. There will be a blitz near the election, after the convention. Until then just depend on your talk radio station to keep everybody apprised of the situation and your fellow conservatives to keep the pressure up. Keep fighting. Strategy and tactics matter.

 

We object to the idea that you think you can take credit for our work. It's time you stopped doing that. It's worse than plagiarism.

agree, look at the demographics in the polls. Just made a thread where a recent CBS poll is showing a drop in Democratic enthusiasm. Negative campaigns do not tend to excite the base. My guess is Romney will use the Olympics to reenforce his management credentials., play up the VP choice, then the convention excitement then launch into the economy full swing for the last few weeks. Obama on the other hand has 3 more bad jobs reports to look forward to and so far his only strategy is demonize the rich and put down free enterprise and small business

Obama has never understood America, I don't know why, maybe the people he hung out with trained him. When you build a business you rish your money, you spend 80 hours a week working and worrying. If you are successful you did it not someone else. Obama proves he is an idiot at every opportunity

That was not the point. Who helped me start my business? Maybe two other guys, one who still works for me, and the other one who struck out on his own not too long afterward. Who put me through college? I did, because... who is paying back my student loans? I am. Who earned my GI Bill for me? I did.

This "we do things together" crap is a message sent by a liberal to other liberals, one who likes to take credit for what Bush has done and blame him for all the things that Bush did that didn't work out, and passes that same message on to other liberals who also apparently like to take credit for what other people have done, mainly small business owners.

I mean honestly, do you as a consumer feel that you should take credit for someone else starting a business? We started our business to make a profit off of you. If you're not willing to do business with us, then we take our business to someone that will. That doesn't afford you any credit for building and maintaining our business for us though. One small business owner can keep their business alive; one consumer can't.

 

Contracted? Businesses growing thanks to socialist programs?

WE pay taxes for all of those things. Those who've successfully taken advantage of what we all paid for to achieve success should rightly pay more into maintaining and expanding those advantages.

The ultimate success of any business depends on all of us. Or as I said, "How much would any business be worth without all those "socialist" contributions from all of us?"

A better question is would the automobile exist today if Henry Ford had to pay to build all those highways himself?

A syccessful business owner has every reason to be proud of that success but he also has e\many reasons to acknowledge the help he got from all of us in achieving that success.
