Yesterday ( July 10th ) , I was watching ABC / GMA Show , where it was shown that Obama & Romney are tied at 47 % , citing an ABC poll as the trusted source.

An hour later , I was watching Fox / Hannity , and the same exact poll was referenced , but Fox listed it at Obama 37 % - - Romney 63 % . .

    That's a substancial difference , who's right ?

Please state reasons to support your views , but please , leave off the political adds & satire , ok ?

Google search says it is a dead heat in that poll. But Hannity lieing is normal. I would be shocked if I heard the man actually speak the truth once.

I am inclined to believe ABC. Why? It's their poll.

Hannity is a partisan hack and a bit of a dimwit. Fox Boobs was never intended to be an ojective news outlet.

ABC is a little too concerned about what their advertisers are going tothink of their content, but, at least, they do have some interest in posting factual stories.

If Fox Boobs says it, I will need neutral corroboration and a signed affidavit from Jesus Christ to believe it.

First of all, Hannity never lies--he doesn't have to in bringing the truth to the airwaves that are so full of lamestream lib media that it makes one want to puke. Libs like yourself can't stand Hannity because he shoves the facts in yer face while debunking all of your lib nonsense in the same breath. Btw, those two poll numbers are most likely taken from two differing questions--not necessarily based on a heads-up match. For instance, that Romney 63% of the vote may come from likely registered voters, which as I've been saying all along, would give Romney a landslide victory. When the polls show the two basically even, it probably comes from a poll of unlikely voters and taken during the day when all Republicans are at work and all liberals are sitting at home basking in the glory of their welfare status. So in summary...obot is indeep do-do and he and his czar gang know it.

To be as fair and honest as possible, I think this OP is lacking in so many ways that it makes further comment very difficult.

First of all, ABC is a supposed news organization. I say supposed because they have been shown time and again to be biased in favor of Democrats. They do this by reporting certain things and ignoring others. Is it lying? No. Is it fair? No.

Second, Hannity is a commentator, and makes no bones about it. Therefore he's going to delve into the meat of the poll in question, look for a result that supports his contention that the public at large do not support The Obama, and present that to provoke discussion. Is it lying? No. Is it fair? Yes.

All polls are rigged and since ABC happily edits audio tapes to say what they want I would never believe a poll from them. I don't believe polls from Fox, either. Polls are nonsense.

I commissioned a survey once, in essence, a poll, and the first thing the professionals wanted to know was how I wanted it to come out. Polls are usually bogus and the closer we get to election day the worse it gets.

I agree PatrickT, because I was called by a pollster once. The young gal on the phone didn't appreciate my answers, as indicated by her hrump! breathing at my responses. Apparently I was taken off the call list as that was 20 years ago.

Now, since I no longer have a home phone, and lots of people are giving Ma Bell the finger as well, I don't know how that can do telephone polls anymore and expect to be taken seriously.

Don't forget to add Nessie's sister 'CHAMP' currently living up in the murky waters of Lake Champlain.

as I mentioned in the OP , I watched it on Direct TV Sat , not on my pc , so there are no links , per se' that I could give other that what I said in my OP.

I suppose one could search the ABC polls for the Tuesday morning July 10th GMAC show poll that was referenced , say about 10am or so . . prolly ditto for the later on that morning Hannity show on Fox . .

So which poll result in this poll is he referencing?

    http://www.washingtonpost.com/page/...g/release_102.xml?uuid=nlO1bMpDEeGNIUXuYXpxKg

Now, I'm not arguing specifically that this poll is correct, but whether or not Hannity is accurately quoting the poll he says he's quoting.

Then again, I haven't double checked that he indeed referenced the exact same poll. If he did not, that error is on Hillbilly's head for stating so.

So when you say "Hannity never lies", you really mean "Hannity hasn't lied in any of the cases that I have checked and I don't check any cases"?

I don't know what you're talking about at this point in the game of polling. All I know is that Hannity never lies, at least not intentionally.

I thought ABC was concerned about the approval of the liberal handlers. Of course, ABC can always get neutral corroboration from MSNBC or the White House spokesperson.

At one time, few people had telephones because they were expensive. The poorer the citizen, the less likely he would have a phone. Today, youngt people rarely have a land line.

This is what happenes when you assume that people with land lines represent a cross-section of voters.

This post embodies all that wrong with with our government and a large chunk of the voting public. It gives me a headache trying to imagine being in this weird warped reality.

Anyway, to answer the thread title - when it comes to trying to determine if it is Fox or someone else who is correct, always bet on the other one, no matter who it may be (even if it's another republican/conservative organization). Let us not forget that some years ago, Fox went to court to fight for their "right" to blatantly lie. Amazingly they won, and they don't seem to pass up an opportunity to exercise this "right".

I don't normally agree with dismissing info based solely on the source itself, but this is a different case.

What are you smoking? Fox went to court for their right to lie? LMFAO! You leftists are so desperate to find fault with anyhing resembling good old American Conservatism that you'll go to these extremes with your propaganda.
